"All the food delicious. Guacamole, I could have just had, for my meal. They will chuck the crab for you for $10 a pound. If you like seafood I would definitely add this place to your list to try."
"It was our first time here, the service was great, but the food was not good as we thought it would be. We ordered 2 Paella because our server said one dish is for two people (which was wrong by the way) anyways the rice was not dry it was more like a risotto than a Paella and it was extremely salty and quite expensive… our mushrooms were salty as well. We told the team and they replaced just one of my 2 plates of Paella with a new one, we asked him not to put any salt …. but same thing it was salty. We told our server and he just put a sad face with no other solution. We also ordered clam chowder and it was super tasty. The boiled shrimps were delicious too. it is all I can say. I do not recommend the Paella at all and if you are planning to go to this place please read all the reviews before ordering or going there."
"Smack Shack is close to where I am and always drives by. Restaurant week was the reason for trying this place out after previewing the lunch menu. I read reviews from others and decided before walking in. The appetizer, Lobster Guacamole, was freshly made, with fresh elements of tomato and crispy radish slices and chunks of lobster. I did add the Craigs Cry Baby hot sauce as I like dimension. The Original Lobster Roll was my lunch choice based on reviews and amazed! The succulent lobster in a creamy condiment (guessing mayo based), diced cucumber, and fresh tarragon (a mild licorice taste) stuffed a beautifully buttery, toasted milk bread. The lobster roll stayed together, not messy, and each bite was delightful. I know salt is by choice, but I felt it needed a little flavor boost. I used the same hot sauce to be that for a well constructed roll! Dessert was not part of the restaurant week lunch menu, but do try their key lime pie! I am guessing the crust was something of a shortbread and a key lime custard to fill it. I love dessert, but not so sweet types. Their key lime pie with a light whip cream on top and a strawberry coulis was a match made in heaven."
"Wow, great place!!! So good. The California Crab Roll I had was delicious. My wife loved the shrimp and grits. Our friends had a Shrimp Po Boy and the Lobster Cordon Bleu Roll. Both were fabulous! I chose the Cheech Spicy Tequila drink and followed it up with the Chong Three Rum Pinapple cocktail."
"Wow! The lobster mac was insanely good! And if you get a large size, they really mean large. That could easily be a meal for two or sides for four. I'm not a seafood person, I normally can't stand it at all, but the lobster was perfectly tender and savory and when mixed with the cheese sauce, super delicious. There was a salty-sweet crispy cornbread topping which really turned the dish eye-rollingly good. The servers were all super friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed and calming. I stopped in for a quick dinner and the mac was ordered and ready very quickly. I want to say I was in and out in under 30 minutes. I didn't have the time (or budget) to get any drinks or desserts but there was an extensive menu and a lot of monthly and happy hour specials that caught my eye. I'll be back to try the rest! Downside is that this was pretty expensive, the large mac and a soda were $33."
