Uptown Diner

"I thought it was a pretty average diner experience overall. If most of the other restaurants are closed in the area, then I might choose this one. The menu is overpriced for the quality of the food that they offer. I thought that my burger was overcooked, yet still lukewarm. The coffee sucked. I spent the same amount of money at Red Cow (also in this area) and Nicollet Diner (near to the area), which provided better quality food, service, and price. Skip it, and go somewhere better."

"Cute little diner with great service and even better food. The server was the only one & he was attentive and kind. Food came out quickly and cooked to perfection. Beyond impressed. Plus, who doesn't love being able to get breakfast anytime."

"First time on a real diner... and the counter area was closed due to cleaning haha... well I used a booth. Food was great, I had biscuits and gravy with hash and eggs... soooo delicious!!! And huge portion. I had to take half of it to go. The biscuit was buttery and soft, the gravy savory and creamy. The hash was nice and crispy and the runny yolk made the perfect bite with a bit of everything. The hot chocolate with whipped cream was great, not overly sweet. The waiter made a mistake and she charged me with someone elses table, but when I told her she voided the wrong charge quickly enough. I hope it won't be an issue with my bank statement. Great service and food."

"Order an uptown burger because I was hungry and wanted to try it and was very disappointed. I told my server that I was disappointed and she didn’t even try to fix the issue, but to comp the drinks at the table. I’m very disappointed in the food that was served to my table the lettuce was wilted, the burger was cold and the cheese wasn’t even melted and the bacon was as hard a rock. Then was even more disappointed when I got my check for $20 for a burger I barely ate and left on the table because it was so disgusting. Would never come here again or recommend anyone to come here. The service was okay have seen way better. NEVER WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!"

"We stayed in Uptown recently and were looking for a good breakfast spot. When I saw pictures of the hash browns I knew we had to go. We ended up going twice! The food was delicious with hearty portions. But those hash browns…they need to teach every breakfast place their secret. These were some of the BEST ones I’ve ever had! Hot, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I actually talked to the kitchen manager on our second visit because they need to know THIS IS HOW IT IS DONE! Nice menu, great staff and fantastic food."
