Reviews
"The liquor store staff is awesome!"
"Shopping options are limited in Slayton. The prices here are ridiculous, and the middle-aged female cashier is not friendly at all. She doesn't even say hello when you get to the register. I have had a young female and a late 20s male ring me up and they were very friendly."
"Nice variety, good prices, friendly service. Beats the heck out of our local store."
"First - This is no longer Jim's Market. It is now called Almich's, but the address is the same. Stopped in because we were in Slayton and needed fried chicken along with some side dishes. We cleaned them out of the fried chicken that day (thankfully they were cooking more), and we got some side dishes such as cucumber/onion salad, coleslaw, and a broccoli/cheddar pasta salad. Everyone who ate lunch with us really enjoyed the food. The chicken was really good (flavorful & fully cooked, but still moist & tender). The side dishes were also good, and we'll keep them in mind next time we are in the area and need to pick up food for lunch. And the lady in the deli area was very helpful."
"If I could give this 0 stars I would. As a business owner please be aware that other states licenses expires 50+ years from the time they are issued. So to not accept a Legal State issued I.D. Is just terrible business on your part. Then, to tell the customer this is a fight you’ll not win. When the customer is merely asking a question as to why you won’t accept a legal form of identification. Terrible... and as we are leaving feels the need to apologize to my significant other for having to “deal” with me. I wish you nothing but the best as a business owner. Please, try venturing out on some customer service skills I’ve never wrote a bad review for any place. However, the lack of proper human interaction was pathetic. A tourist trying to give a small business some business... I’ll gladly chose other options. Ones where I am treated like a human."
