"This is an amazing place! My husband and I stopped to try some Ethiopian food. We were greeted with a very sweet and welcoming lady. She makes you feel at home. The food is amazing and the whole experience is just perfect. You must try the coffee. She roasts it in house and wow the smell and taste is just so wonderful. You will not be dissapointed!"

"Very homey food. The food was very good but the best part was the attention we received from the owner. She is such a sweet lady and even gave us free coffee, and she also showed us how she made it. It was like visiting your favorite aunt. I honestly got full with the Injera and the beef ribs."

"Don't let the outside fool you. All of my coworkers at my contractor facility recommended shalom to me for delicious Ethiopian food. I'm assuming she was the owner, but she was also the server and the hostess -- service, graciousness, and food was excellent. I asked her what her favorite item was and that I would take that. The Injera (teff bread) was absolutely delicious! I don't remember what it is, and I actually did not take a picture of my food like I normally do but the #2 spicy is a winner! I hear that they have great coffee so that's my next plan but, I definitely recommend that you go out of your comfort food and try this place the next time you're around Sioux Falls!"

"This is a 100% authentic, genuine eating experience. A sweet lady, in a converted house, cooks Ethiopian food and brings it to you at a table in one of the rooms. It is not a fancy space, but it is a beautiful experience. There's something about sharing the plate with a dinner guest, eating with my figures that is very relationally intimate. The food is amazing and she cooks it to your spicy preference. A wonderful woman to support. Highly recommended for your next work day lunch."
