"My husband and i decided to try this place this weekend and we do like the food we had ordered. My favorite dish we ordered was the pork padthai. If you had laothia restaurant padthai. This probably the closest tasting dish i had in a long time and you can add spicy to the dish. The pork padthai was very good. My 2nd favorite was the beef brisket. We added medium spicy to it and it was delicious. It wasn't too sweet, the favors of the beef brisket balanced very well. The raw laab was good too. We did no green onion and no bitter. I like my raw laab still tasting fresh and favor balancing. If you're in the area, i definitely recommend stopping at this place if you're looking to have some good food"
"08/02/2023 The first visit: Nice! Service was quick and efficient. Because it was the end of the day. They didn't have much food for "on-the-go" guests, but it was expected. There was only brisket and pork belly remaining with one tray of steam rolls. Great place to visit if you're in the area. The dining room was spacious with tables and booths. Dim, not super bright. Restroom is in the mall hallway, and you need fob passkey from the restaurant/ store you're visiting. 1. 1/2lb beef brisket: Tender and seasoned well, but the cut is very thin. 2. Steak rolls: Rolled very nicely, small & tasted typical. *Pepper sauce was great! 8/10! Could have used a pinch of sugar & lime (for my preference) to balance the savory beef brisket. Prefer their pepper over many from Hmongtown/ Hmong Village (almost all of them are watery & just salty or have no flavor at all; just being honest). **Spiciness: 7/10"
"Was recommended this place for good Hmong food and it was really good! Portion size was big, pork belly was juicy, extremely crispy with a nice crunch, Hmong sausage was delicious, and the Hmong pepper went amazing with it all. Service was okay, and the atmosphere was fine. Nothing really amazing. Definitely would come here again to get my Hmong food!"
"I was excited to try a new place that offers authentic Laotian food and other southeast Asian cuisine. We went here for supper on a weeknight. The service was quick, and food was prepared fairly quickly. The outside of the building and area looks sketchy. The inside is nice and is a part of an Asian mall. We ordered spring rolls, cream cheese wontons, and egg rolls for starters. They both were served with the fish sauce, which has a good heat level. The egg rolls were ok due to too many vegetables versus meat in ratio. The kids shared a small meatball pho, which was a decent size. My friend and I ordered the kaopia to share, and that was so delicious! Pure comfort food. It contains homemade noodles, which I believe are rice and tapioca flour. They make the soup thick like a porridge. It tasted like a Laotian chicken noodle soup. It was topped with green onions ,cilantro, and crispy onions. We liked it so much that we visited a second time a few days later. I really wanted to try the kapoon. It looked like something similar to what my mom makes but is a Cambodia dish. It's a red curry noodle soup, which was pretty tasty and similar to the aforementioned dish. Although, it was a bit overwhelming of mushrooms and bamboo. I had to remove half of the mushrooms. Otherwise, I highly recommend this restaurant. It offers pork belly and beef brisket at the counter. I'd like to come back to try more items."
"This place is pretty hidden because it is located behind the building facing university avenue. We ordered the BBq pork belly, steak spring rolls, and the BBq beef briskets. The bbq pork belly taste just like any other asian pork belly you find around town. The steak spring rolls were very fresh, but the steak strips were a little tough. The bbq beef briskets were really good tho, and was the highlight of our meal. The taste of the beef was a little more "gamey" but the spices they put on compliments the game taste very very well, and trust us, we hate game taste lol. The pepper was also very good. One of the better peppers around town. Overall we like this place. Will come back for other dishes soon."
