Reviews
"Five stars for the atmosphere and the service. Restaurant was super spacious, everything was clean, restrooms were clean. Most of the food we tried were really nice. If you want to try Injira this is the place."
"While looking up best restaurants in Sioux Falls, Lalibela restaurant continued to pop up in my search. Never having eaten Ethiopian food before, my husband and I were intrigued and decided we would give it a try while we were in town. We were not disappointed! We ate at Lalibela on 6/9/23. The waitress was very patient and kind when we said we had never eaten this type of food before. She briefly explained how you eat with injera instead of utensils. She also was eager to answer any questions we had and to make suggestions. We ordered the meat sambusa as an appetizer which was my favorite thing. Piping hot, pastry shell was perfectly crisp, meat was flavorful, and the sauce was a wonderful accompaniment. For our entrees, my husband went with a combination platter while I had the beef tibs. Every bite was excellent. The only downside is we live 15 hours away from Sioux Falls, and we will have to try to find an Ethiopian restaurant close to home!"
"We like Ethiopian food in general and decided to try this place while visiting Sioux Falls. I called about a reservation on a Saturday night, but the owner said it was not necessary. Management was very friendly when we arrived. We got a two-combo vegetarian plate and a multi-combo meat plate, along with Ethiopian beer which my husband said was pretty good. Tasty food. It’s always different eating with hands for the first few minutes and then seems normal. Worth a visit!"
"Surprised to see that there were quite a few Ethiopian restaurants during the stay in Sioux Falls a few weeks ago, we decided to give it a try. The owner was very nice to explain to us about the food on the menu, and a little about the culture. We enjoyed the food, especially tasty to eat with our own hands, we also like the decoration"
