Tono Pizzeria + Cheesesteaks

"I've wanted to try this place for awhile and finally had the opportunity. As a Philly cheesesteak fan, I now have a new place to satisfy my cravings. I ordered the Mushroom American cheesesteak with provolone. It was delicious. The meat was good, the garlic aioli might be my new favorite condiment, and the chili oil added just a bit of heat. The bun held up with all the sauces. It's a large portion and a good value for the price. It's served with fries. The counter person was friendly and recommended the provolone (good rec!). It was ready rather quickly. They have a lot of interesting condiments available. I look forward to trying them again and would love to see a location in the southern suburbs. Until then, I'll make the trek."

"Used to go to high school over there in that area and go to Preparatory college at McAlester right next to the restaurant didn't know they changed it from the St Croix Broiler to the pizzas Philly steak place but it was a good change cuz it is really good really good atmosphere and the price is right. "Ordered some sandwiches for pickup and placed an order for their walnut salad once there. Service was good and fast! The person who rang me up was courteous and answered the questions I asked with a smile. Food was very good. This was my first time getting food from Tono Pizzeria and I will be going coming back for more! The sandwiches were so good and the salad was delicious!!"

"I just had Pizza there. But it’s delicious!!! The perfect dough thickness and a good topping amount with a great seasoning. The fries are also very good but come in a huge portion. The downside was that ordering extra does not work and ordering without an item often does not come as ordered. That should be considered when ordering."

"She had the Tono pizza and I had the Pretty Boy cheesesteak. The pizza was exceptional. The crust was beautifully fired in their wood fired oven and the pizza flavors come together perfectly. My cheesesteak was really good but it was almost too sweet. That pizza might be the best pizza I’ve eaten in the Twin Cities though. It’s legitimately exceptional. Also, they’ve got a hot honey sauce that’s just great on your fries."
