"Would give zero stars if possible…Personally witnessed racism at the hy-vee gas station. It’s no secret that the gas station employees give out free drinks to other employees (past and present) and regulars alike. Well, today I was in and saw a past worker (it’s important to note for this story that she is NOT white) and decided to say hi and chat with her. While she was checking out for her burger, snacks and coffee, the woman at the register gave her ONLY her coffee for free. Now, after she left, Sara, the manager of the C store, came rushing over to the woman at the counter demanding to know if “she paid for that” and the woman at the counter told her yes, but Sara would not take that for an answer and kept demanding to see the receipt. Finally the woman at the counter found her receipt, but when Sara saw that the coffee was not on the receipt, she made the woman working at the counter pay for it. Now, this may not be “racism” at its core, but along with other stories of Sara getting black people transferred and/or fired, this was 100% an act of racism."

"If you care for e85, they usually have e70 here. I think recently, they went down but I have not been able to test it. I used to like this gas station. If you are debating between this car wash and another, I use this car wash when my car isn't as dirty as the car wash at KT does a better job especially if you do touch less. Make sure to push and hold the pump buttons for a few secondsfor it to recognize the option you have selected."

"this used to be my favorite gas station, but now it seems like a revolving door of employees. they turned half of this gas station into a fast food restaurant, but when I went in today at dinner time they had absolutely no warm food at all, not even anything on the rollers. I was told that the evening cook was unreliable and that is why they didn’t have food, but i don’t know why management wouldn’t step up in that situation or why there would be no food on the roller grills at least. when Hy-Vee came to town it was supposed to be a great place for people to work with good pay but their gas station turnover rate is far higher than most businesses in the area and definitely higher than the other gas stations in town. They’ve had some great employees, it’s a shame they haven’t been able to retain the good ones."
