"Food was very good! We waited awhile so they ended up giving us free empanadas! We will for sure be back."
"Walking into Baludo was like stepping into a little slice of pizza paradise. From the moment I sat down, I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, setting the stage for what would become an unforgettable pizza experience. The pizza I ordered was nothing short of spectacular. The crust was the perfect balance of crispy and chewy, clearly made from dough that had been given the love and time it deserved. It had a slight hint of olive oil and salt that added to its full flavor. The sauce had a sweet and salty flavor which could only come from high quality fresh tomatoes. It was clear that Baludo prioritizes quality and freshness in their ingredients, which made all the difference. It is not just a meal; it's an experience."
"Wow. One of the best gluten free crusts I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. I got takeout, and I think that was a good choice. The atmosphere is a bit small inside and could get loud if there are lots of people. Back to the GF crust!! I swear they have some sort of magic ingredient to make this so good. Usually, GF crust is small, thin, dry, grainy, and burnt. I was so happy when the crust I bit into was light, airy, and soft. So refreshing!!! There were even air bubbles in the crust (see pictures)?? Didn’t know gf crust could do that. Tastes almost like a croissant. The pepperoni was phenomenal, salty and fatty as it should be. The tomato sauce was so tasty and light and fresh, you could tell they make it from scratch. The amount of cheese can be overwhelming, but I loved it. See video for a cheese pull! I will definitely grab takeout from here again. Excited to try other pizzas, but the pepperoni is so darn good."
"All the rating goes to the food and not the environment, which means that when I get food from Boludo next time I will most likely do takeout instead of dine in, which is totally okay, because based on the food alone, Boludo absolutely deserves a 5. The empanadas are just delicious and each kind offers such a different type of flavor dimension. The only ones that tasted similar were carne and pollo because they used similar kinds of seasoning. I could taste the cumin visibly for both. The other kinds were pretty representative of their respective menu descriptions. There was also a small container of sauce we could use for the empanadas, and I don't know what the sauce was made from, but it was really good! Totally offered an even new kind of flavor. I have to comment on the Messi empanada because I actually liked it the least even if it was the special item. Its ingredients determined that it tasted almost like a hot pocket, and when I had it I just kept thinking "why am I ordering this here at Boludo" simultaneously. In terms of the pizza, I had one bite of the Peras and I thought it was great. The only problem for me was personal, that I didn't like gorgonzola cheese, so the "nasty" cheese taste made me realize how good the pizza would be for someone who loves that kind of cheese, and that's why I thought it was great (even if not for me). The Margarita, on the hand, was out of this world for me! I have had this kind of pizza in many places, but this one in Boludo was so good because I could taste the basil so well even when there was clearly not a basil leaf on a slice, let alone on slices that actually had basil leaves. The cheese was visibly fresh, which was amazing as well. The pizza was really thin, so I actually had to use a fork to transfer it to my plate, but that's okay because more content less crust anyway. Okay, now that I have talked about the food, I must say that when I stepped in, there were dirty plates everywhere and no one was cleaning them up. Luckily no customers were there so I was able to find a clean table. In addition, a lot of the plates were not really well-washed because I could visibly see dirty spots and sometimes even leftover food marks still on most of the plates available for customers to grab. All of these observations tell me that next time I should pursue takeout here. Regardless, the empanadas and pizzas were some of the best I have had anywhere in the Twin Cities and I would strongly recommend Boludo to anyone!"
"On our first visit, the pizzas and salad were amazing! We ordered 3 pizzas—Porteño, Sarandara, and Campo (the best of the lot!)—and a De la Casa salad. The pizza is actually bigger than it looks; we had leftovers! We'll definitely be back to try the empanadas and more."
