"I have been coming to Starbucks 1-2 times a day for many years to get black coffee, spending at least $120 a month. This store was very nice and kind for a long time however recently one of the newer staff are rather hostile. This afternoon I came through the drive thru looking horrible because I just woke up after working 12 hour shifts. I ordered 2 venti black coffees with cream on the side for me and a coworker to enjoy later. When I got to the window the barista attempted to charge me $3 for a short cup of milk. I politely let her know I only needed a small amount for the coffees and she proceeded to dump out the majority of the milk, leaving enough for 1 cup. When she handed me the extremely hot cups of coffee the cups buckled and coffee spilled all over my car and clothes. There was no apology or offer to assist, I had to ask for napkins. When I asked for a new cup of coffee because the one thst spilled all over me, was hot and the cup was wet and leaking and no longer functional she said rudely, “I will give you a tall to replace what spilled.” I said, “are you kidding me?” She then agreed to make a new cup. When I told her the cups are extremely hot and from my understanding policy is to double cup them she again rudely said no, you have to ask for a double cup. There was no apology, no helpfulness just rudeness and meanness. I left the leaking cup on the window ledge and left feeling terrible. The whole experience was very hostile and humiliating, and felt quite confusing and personal, as someone who looks forward to coming to Starbucks daily. As much as I have loved Starbucks I purchased a coffee maker today and will really reconsider before giving them my business again. This is the first negative review I have ever left for any business. I do want to add most of the baristas there are very kind and caring, and love seeing their faces and making small talk, however this experience was so humiliating and strange it made me never want to return."
"I ordered through drive through and said a dirty chai with cold foam and oat milk. I repeated my order again after she just said “a venti chai?” And get up to the door and I have a iced chai - which I wouldve been okay with but I wanted oatmilk and a cold foam. I had specified how many shots at the drivethru as well. So I get up to the door and the person was very rude when I said this wasnt my drink, it was an iced chai. So she took it back and just put cold foam on it, no change to the entire other drink. Overall, im not one to leave a bad review, but I was met with such hostility when I just wanted the drink I had paid for!"
"Absolutely terrible experience at this store. I purchased Halloween gift cards at $20 each. The staff member sent me home (I assume accidentally) with one generic card (that she used to activate the others) in lieu of one of the Halloween cards. I discovered this when I got home. I returned to the store to exchange the generic card for the correct one. The Halloween card was no where to be found. I was told there was nothing they could do and that I was just out $20. They suggested I call corporate for a credit. I did, and corporate said there was nothing to be done. They could not credit my MC without the 16 digit card number of the MISSING gift card. Of course, I don’t have the GC number because I was never given the card. Absolutely the poorest customer service - I paid $20 for a card that I did not receive and no one was interested in remedying the situation. I will NEVER patronize this store again despite it being my regular neighborhood coffee house."
