"If you like small dinners with home cooked meals this is a great place to go"
"The wait staff, Faith, is amazing. She gives good recommendations, and is very friendly and considerate. The food is all largely delicious and affordable. I personally am not particularly fond of their hash browns, however they aren't bad. If you are visiting through town and it's open, give it a try. Breakfast until 10:30am and burgers and more after."
"Wonderful atmosphere. Great service and food. If it's on the board you gotta try the sweet and hot chicken wrap, and the fries OMG, old school goodness to the max. Truly mouth watering."
"Food was amazing! Service quick and friendly, especially appreciated since we had a party of 6. A very cheap meal too!"
"It was the first time I’ve been to Madison, WI; we were grateful to find a pleasant place to have lunch. I was craving a salad and enjoy their Taco Salad. It came beautifully service in a shaped bowl and was of good size. Its salad ingredients were fresh and the seasoned hamburger in it was tasty. I had it with a bowl of Chili which was served nice and hot. That was welcoming as we came in out of the cold. The lady who served us was interesting to talk to and gave good recommendations. She recommended Sun Drop, which neither of us had ever heard of before. I’m not a big soda consumer but it was just the right thing for the moment and delightful to try. Overall, I thought it fared well for diner food. The atmosphere really made the place in that staff members were pleasant and several local patrons where laughing, sharing news, ordering seconds, and a real sense of local community comes across. Seems like a very homey and happy place. Diners can choose between being seated at the bar, tables, or booths. I was surprised to see claims that Madison, WI is the "lutefisk capital of the world"; it would have been fun to try again had it been on the menu. We heard that Norwegian dumplings were coming for dinner. The Café sign is a bright spot on the street and parking is sufficient, even though it is on the main street. Rest rooms were available at the back; although, I’d guess there are too small for wheelchair access. Good service."
