"I have tried Bully Brew over 5 times, giving them many chances to change my opinion, as I love supporting small businesses. But their coffee was disappointing every time, prices are high, service slow on a few occasions, staff were not always trained the adequately, and the highly priced breakfast burrito was cheap and microwaved. Many coffee shops use frozen breakfast foods but cook in an oven to taste fresh. If you’re going to charge high for your products, you need to purchase higher quality foods. And make sure the baristas are thoroughly trained in both coffee making and espresso making. I wanted to like Bully Brew so bad, but not worth the money to try again."
"Great Coffee & Customer Service! Plus when you stop to buy your locally roasted coffee beans for home you can still grab a can of cold brew or a hot coffee for the road! And they gave me this awesome reusable shopping bag!"
"I was in the area and decided to try the "Bully Brew" franchise. I expected the status quo with espresso and was not disappointed. It tastes like every other bad pour in North Dakota. When you spend $65,000 for a LaCimbali espresso machine you would think someone would be on top of their game. Training, training, training from the top down. Weigh your grounds, time your shots, adjust your grind, and for God's sake taste it!!! If it's not good adjust your grind!! If you work it up to find the best taste for that batch of coffee then all you have to change is your grind and clean your machine. The first question out of the barista's mouth after an espresso order should be will that be for here so they can put it in a ceramic cup. NOBODY LIKES THE TASTE OF PAPER IN THEIR ESPRESSO!!! Anyone can make latte art and fill a cup with milk or microbubbles to cover up a bad espresso, just look at Caribou, Starbucks, etc. They double crack their beans essentially ruining/burning them so they can make super huge batches of consistent beans. Then they use super automatic espresso machines so they don't have to spend money on training. The machines never get cleaned or adjusted properly. It really is a shame... Do not feel bad Bully Brew, I have only found two coffee shops in North Dakota that could consistently pull a good shot. If you could do that in Grand Forks you would corner the market!!! I'm not picking on you just really tired of bad espressos from coffee shops. I give you two stars because I really like the brewed coffee!!!"
"If you like coffee I think you like this place? It's really hard to say that it's better than anywhere else because we're talking about seed water. And I don't care for a lot of these environments and the people are pretty basic. But Hey the name says it all.Pretty down-to-earth.Give it a shot if you don't like it go kiss yourself."
"if we're talking coffee, yes they make good coffee but DO NOT go here and get breakfast food with your order. I almost gagged when I open my breakfast burrito to find a MICROWAVED soggy and very off tasting burrito. who MICROWAVES a burrito at a shop like this??? very disappointed that I spent good money on such a horrible menu item"
