"The cabin was very rustic and that's exactly what we wanted. The wildlife was everywhere. Deer, elk, squirrel and all the song birds. It was a great experience and we will be back."
"October 2023. We took our 26 ft travel trailer here. And had a reservation in the Pioneer Park section. This is within the trees. At the top of this park. Staff were wonderful. Clean common areas. The entire park is from the 1930s. And has had little to no updating. Narrow one lane roads. Poor signage. No shower buildings. Only Porta potties. Is very picturesque. But lacks many amenities. This was our first time. But we will not go back in a travel trailer. I think tent campers or van campers enjoy this park more. They do have large Recreation areas to reserve for get togethers. Elk Ridge RV section. Is primarily a gravel parking lot. Is full hookups. But no bathroom or shower building. Elk Ridge could accommodate all sizes of rvs. Pioneer Park limits 30 ft and under. But is dirt and hilly. And half the spots a four-wheel drive vehicle would be needed. We witnessed two setups struggling to exit uphill on dirt. We have a two-wheel drive and had to back up under and spun out several times. These spots are very narrow as well. At most, you'll have no porch area. We had to sit in front of our rig."
"LOVED this spot. Camped in our van, it was such an epic view! Would absolutely come back. Little ports-loo was very clean and ample TP"
"This place is amazing! The various trails are at a multitude of difficulty levels. Even my smallest kids loved to climb and hike through. The cabins are cozy and accommodating. The playgrounds are very nice. The picnic areas are plentiful. The disk golf is challenging but fantastic. The whole place is great sun, rain, or snow. The staff are amazing and super friendly. This place made my kids love the outdoors. We will be back many times."
