"It was very fun at the beginning. Enjoyed hot natural water bath. We had to climb around two mountains and the way seems a little bit easy during the day. By the time we reached that place, it was almost dark and we got confused while returning. We had to search for the correct way in the dark. There were no lights and if you are going for the first time, try offline maps and track your steps in Apple. Best time is while it is sunny."
"The hike was so fun but very physical, if you’re not comfortable with climbing up and down ropes this isn’t the hike for you. The wash is a beautiful hike but there is a serious graffiti problem and every time we visit it seems to be worse. Leave these natural places better than you found them. If you see trash on the trail pick it up and carry it out in a trash bag. Respect this place like it’s your own. If you’re comfortable with the hike make sure you take a moment to soak in the springs. This is a clothing optional spring so be prepared to see people without bathing suits. It took us 3-4 hours and we spent nearly an hour soaking."
"What a great hike! The hot spring make make for such a rewarding end. They are a bit hard to find, if you don’t know what to look for. The hike can get pretty intense at times, it takes about 1.5 hrs to 2hr hike. Bring lots of water! Look out for the hot springs off the the cracks n side of mountain. They are nice and warm some are warmer then others but nothing crazy hot. The water is clear."
"Our favorite hot springs in AZ for sure! There are two ways to hike in- over the mountain (2.5 miles about) or through the canyon ( 3 miles.) We prefer the mountain way. It’s a beautiful hike, but please note that the trail is closed from end of May to mid September due to high temps. Pack plenty of water, snacks, first aid kit, and whatever else you might need as cell service is nonexistent. One of the best parts of the hot spring is the fact that when the hot spring is exposed, you can drink it. I want to clarify that this doesn’t mean take a cup of water out of the hot spring and start drinking it. The water is 140 degree coming out of the rock, so it’s great for oatmeal, coffee, tea, etc… We like to fill our packs up and let it cool overnight. The water has a mineral taste, so crystal light packets come in handy. Please remember to keep the hot spring clean and maintained- pick up your trash, don’t leave soiled towels, etc… Have fun!"
"I love this hike. I used to go nearly every weekend back in my single days, back before they started closing it during the summer. Night hikes. It can get awfully hot during the day. I recommend that if you plan on going, pack as much water as you think you will need, then double it. That's how much you will probably need. Also, they have replaced the old broken, janky ladder with a new new one that is almost more of a stair system with hand rails. Very nice whoever did that!"
