"We had a rough time with Specialty Pools. I am aware there are delays with logistics supplies and there is a waiting list for a number of the steps with the installation and resurfacing, but we had little to no communication about the additional delays. We were not living in the home at the time of the installation and at one point I had complaints from my neighbors because of all the mosquitoes. Speciality pools had turned off our pool equipment in preparation to resurface the pool, and then it took months and months so my pool turned into a swamp. When I called them to ask if they could empty the pool they told me they didn't know where the clean out was so they couldn't. They sent crews out (after weeks of asking) so look for the clean out and couldn't find it so they told me they didn't know what to do. They are a pool company and they didn't know what to do. I called a plumber and they found the clean out in 20 minutes. There were numerous other examples of unprofessionalism and a lack of communication. What really bothered me however was the lack of knowledge on pool installation and repair. I called to talk to the owner 7 times and he never once got back to me about my complaints. We had spoken regularly during the design and initial demo but when they stated having issues he just stopped communicating. I wouldn't recommend this company because there are just too many other options and I don't believe they have the required knowledge to install pools and hot tubs."
