"Recently had an initial rattlesnake avoidance training with my two dogs (two very curious boys, one of which is a 9 month old puppy) I feel much better after having them receive this training. The trainers are very friendly and made sure both of my dogs were comfortable and accepting of them prior to starting the exercise with them. I was worried that my puppy would be stubborn and continue to try to investigate but was pleasantly surprised to see him pick up the point that he needs to stay away. I would recommend the rattlesnake avoidance class to anyone who is looking. They do also offer other types of training including toad avoidance which is also a big problem in our area."

"Attended Rattlesnake Avoidance class with Jay Belchar. While hiking in the dessert my dogs took an interest in a shrub of sage brush along the trail. It was not until they were within 48" of the bush, did I realize there was a snack. My knee jerk reaction was to lunge at my dogs to grab them. One of my dogs' reactions was to instinctively jump away from me - and instead lunge OVER that snake. It turns out the snake was dead. However, this incident inspired me to attend this class. Dog trainer Jay Belchar did not disappoint. Since my dog was the only one present at the time of training, the entire process went quickly. In less than a half hour my German shepherd went from curious and moving towards the snake, to cautious and apprehensive. Mission accomplished!6"
