"DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Kennel is ran by two extremely RUDE old people. Pets are kept in very poor and unclean conditions. Pets are kept and locked in pound cages. The place is filthy and smells horrible. The "cat room" smells and is dirty. I asked if my friendly hairless cat would have anytime outside of the kennel and or being held and was told quote "maybe only if I can catch him" I probably won't be able to so probably no, he won't be let out" this women was 80 years old!!!! I said that no I was not going to let my kitten stay there. And then the owner replied "Thanks for wasting MY TIME!" I was floored. I cried and held my cat tighter as I drove back home. Disgraceful. Time to retire this poor excuse for a kennel."
"Well... read the reviews before you decide. I agree that they are very friendly and kind. But that's all that was good with my dog's stay. Luckily we found the five ticks shortly after bringing him home. He had a bit of a cough even after getting his shot but I can understand that during his first kennel stay he might catch a cold from another dog. The worst is the two week staph infection that we are fighting with antibiotics. He apparently chewed his own bed on day 1 and so they removed it and gave him a towel to sleep on. I wish they would have called and we could have had a family member run over another bed. Now I understand why they didn't want to give me a tour of the place."
"While the staff was friendly enough and they took my dog in on short notice, she was returned to me infested with ticks. It was a long 3 month battle that my wife and i waged on the ticks which resulted in us finding more than 50 of them and spending upwards of $300 to rid our dog and house of the infestation. Use with caution."
"We are SO glad that we found Kennel Nirvana! My 8 month old puppy is quite the social butterfly, and the thought of her being locked in a kennel for the majority of the week we'd be gone broke my heart. At Kennel Nirvana, she was able to receive the attention from both people and animals that she needs, and just knowing that made having to leave her that much easier. The owners are very knowledgeable about animals and made us feel comfortable with knowing how our puppy would be cared for. We felt that the price was fair for all the play time she'd be getting. She came back happy, and we highly recommend this kennel!"
"Kennel Nirvana is a bit of an acquired taste. True the grounds look like a dump, and the office is festooned with Tea Party stuff, and the pricing is unknowable, but the owners are truly caring people who know a lot about dogs, do their best, and take personal responsibility for their charges. You are not going to find a Beverly Hills kennel in Pima County. Focus on the quality of service, rather than the other stuff."
