"We visited Jon after leaving the Sonora Desert Museum with the intention of bringing home a piece of the desert in the form of a cactus. Jon (PhD) was friendly, informative and a bit of a comedian. We let him know what we were looking for and he steered us in the direction of a trichocereus cactus with the help of his extensive photo collection. We loaded up our cactus and a grocery bag of his personal blend of potting soil for a very reasonable $36. He even gifted us a small cactus that is supposed to produce a beautiful purple flower.
