"I have used them for years. This year's experience was exceptionally disappointing. As a returning client, I expected them to be as helpful as in the past. When dropping off my taxes , I was required to COMPETELY fill out a new client form. On this form, I did request a change in notification email for my account. They ignored this request. I called two weeks ago to check on my taxes, and they were in review. Again, I tried to confirm my update in my information. I was told it was completed. When I called today , I was told the notification of completion went to an old email address. The staff member said my email was updated but did not take down my new email address. I am exceptionally disappointed in customer service of the front desk and follow through of paperwork."

"We have gone to Renberg CPA for our taxes the past two years. This year we dropped our taxes off and we were told they would be ready in 1-2 weeks. Four weeks later and after 2 calls from me they still were not done. Had to pick our taxes up to go somewhere else. After reviewing our prior year taxes done by them we noticed Mark put the wrong filing status on both our taxes. We now have to amend our 2020 taxes and still have under a month to now do our 2021 taxes. I am aware Mark passed away and that is why they said they are behind on doing everyone’s taxes. But they were aware Mark was not doing the taxes when we dropped them off and they still continued on taking more taxes on even though they are way over their head and behind. We will never use Renberg again for our taxes. Our condolences to Mark’s family and coworkers, but you still have a business to run and we were very dissatisfied."

"Like several reviews said, my taxes for 2017 were done incorrect and now the IRS says we owe additional money, $1700. Mine and my husbands voicemails haven't been returned. When my husband did finally reach the office, of course nobody could help and said they would call back-that never happened. Now I am looking for a different CPA, who I will need to pay again to correct. They also said they would do an extension for me for 2018 and that never happened so I have additional fees. I'm not going to waste time to try to recover my service fees, from other reviews it looks like responsibility is never taken and ethics are nowhere to be found. Some reviews are absolutely correct, Mark will talk your ear off. We got to hear all about how his daughters like to spend all the money us poor souls are wasting on his services."

"We had our taxes completed with Mark in 2014 and recently received a letter from the IRS stating we owe money due to his inability to read a W2. After giving him the letter to review it took him a MONTH to respond to us after MULTIPLE phone calls and in person visits. Finally we received a call from his secretary that he sent us an email, his email response was rude and completely unprofessional. He never even apologized for his error and stated "Sorry we haven’t responded to you on YOUR time frame....Let’s agree to disagree and have you move on to another tax preparer." He also did not even acknowledge his error in reading the names on the W2’s. (one for myself, one for my husband. Both were put under the same name therefore causing an error of approximately $2,000). He refused to return our tax preparation fees. I seriously question his competency after making such a simple error. I do not recommend anyone having their taxes completed by him."

"We had our tax returns completed in April 2015. by Mark Renberg at AZSR dba TaxMan CPAs. We were told our tax returns were e-filed in April and we have documents stating the same. It's now June and we have not received our refunds. We called the state and were told they never received our tax return for 2014. We called Mark and we were told due to personal circumstances our tax returns were not filed in April. There was no communication to us that our returns were not filed. Mark was not only unapologetic he was rude, arrogant, defensive, and refused to refund our tax return money. Mark did not care that this could have caused a negative consequence for my husband and I and lied to cover up his mistake. I would strongly urge anyone who had their taxes completed by Mark this year to verify that their returns were accurately filed. I have filed a formal complaint with the IRS and the BBB. I will not return to have our taxes done next year and I will notify the many friends/co-workers that have gone to Mark to reconsider in the future."
