"Last year I had a complex tax return that Tadd Hafen did an excellent job on. This year, I could have done my "baby simple" return online for free, but I wanted to keep Hafen Buckner in the loop anticipating another complex return next year. My simple return was passed on to a subordinate, and that was fine. However, my bill this year exceeded last year's bill. I feel so stupid in assuming that I would be treated fairly (I'm a senior living on SS, occasionally having to dip into investments). I will find someone else for my future returns. $275 for a return that some accounting firms do pro bono is ridiculous."
