"When I began with BASC Expertise a number of years ago I was able to sit down with the principle and provide her with my tax documents in an envelope. The price was around $500. In the last few years I have not been able to meet directly with the principle and the taxes were completed by an associate. All of the documents were required to be scanned into their system. My most recent price was $2000. Also, last year the principle working with the associate made a mistake on my return increasing my tax liability by $40,000. Fortunately I was able to catch. Finally, it's very difficult to reach the office and historically their mailbox is full. Since I decided to move on to a different tax preparer BASC charged me $50 a copy for each State and Federal returns. My recommendation is to find a different preparer."
