Jackson Hewitt Tax Service 2750 East Germann Road, Chandler, AZ 85286

"Terrible experience. Preparer was over 30 minutes late. I was called as I was walking in the door. Not his fault but his computer would not work. Took a couple of hours and at the end I left not feeling confident my mothers taxes were filed. The efile would not work so he said they would have to be done by the home office and promised he would call me when they confirmed everything was sent. No call. I called the number that informed me he would be late, at 3:55pm yesterday after the appointment to get an update. The gal said she would transfer me to someone that could help. The call was disconnected. I called back immediately (several times) and received a recording saying the office was closed. I still have NOT received a call confirming everything processed. Plus, at the start of the appointment he told me we were eligible for a 50% discount since it was our first time but when he tried to enter the code it wouldn’t work. He was then informed it expired the previous day and the senior discount expired the previous day as well. So, he said he could probably ask his boss to give me a discount since he was late I said that would be nice. He called her, in front of me, and said “Yeah so she wants a discount since I was late”. All they gave me was $30 off. I would never recommend this company. Terrible experience all around."

"My Tax preparer did not impress to be experienced for anything outside reading /asking the standard questions on blanket forms. They are outrageously expensive...my taxes were straight forward with the $200. discount I still paid $252. I don't have the confidence that IRS will not find discrepancies. I've had my taxes prepared over 40 years, Their printed format is harder than I've seen to understand. The only plus is I was able to get in quickly but wish I had gone elsewhere."
