"You want easy access to your funds this is not a FCU I would recommend 1. They’re closed on the weekends 2. They was only allowed me to open a saving account, so I can only go drive to their bank to take out anything over $500. and if I go in person I am only limited to take out 3k. 3. With a saving account if you have any emergency which I did one weekend you will have to wait until regular business to resolve any money issues. So Monday through Friday 9am-5/6pm. 4. I open the account at the Oracle/Wetmore location the female who helped me, didn’t give me all the information that would have been useful. The staff at the Grant location have always been very helpful, I obtained information that was not given to me initially. Unfortunately one individual at the Oracle location was not very helpful until I was finally able to deposit a large amount into my saving. My next huge investment deposit will not be deposited into this branch because I need a checking account and a bank that allows me more flexibility and convenience. You’re better using another FCU for your banking needs."
"I don’t usually leave reviews for banks, but I felt compelled to after my most recent visit. Everyone here is so kind and welcoming. Shelly talked me through some options that PFCU offers and made me feel at home. She is also hilarious! Thank you to this location for making me feel so loved. You’re the best!"
"Not having a good experience with this bank. With COVID restrictions, banking online is even more necessary. But when their site is down, with the upgrade a few weeks ago and now it is completely down, I think we are better off moving to a different bank. Our banking needs are not being met when we cannot rely on the site to be available. Unfortunately we have to wait for the direct deposit for the refunds/IRS stuff before we can close the account. Not a great way of doing business."
"I had a shared account opened with my daughter (9 years old). She had made a fair amount of money, just about $100, doing lemonade stands over the summer and I wanted to teach her about saving. This was a savings account only, no access unless you walk in to the credit union. Well, I went in to check her balance one day...because she asked me what the balance was. They told me the account was closed. I said I never closed it. Then they shared that they closed it for lack of activity. I explained that it was a savings only account and there was no way to have "activity" on the account. The manager got rude with me, and said "the law" says they can close accounts for inactivity. They refused to give me any information, dates, anything about when it was closed and where the money went. Most people would call that theft...and that's what it is in my opinion."
"I love this credit union. I have been a member with Pyramid for ~13 years. They have always treated me with respect and beyond. Here are some of the great things they have done that some other banks and credit unions don't. I have overdrawn my checking account while having money in savings, and instead of overdrafting they pulled the money out of my savings to avoid a fee. When I had my credit card for a while they notified me that I could decrease my interest rate and raise my limit. They have helped me with advice, like to get a credit card when I was 18, and use it to build credit but have it automatically pay off each month so I pay no interest. Their Piggy Bank program allows me to round up my debit card transaction to the next dollar and let the difference grow at a good interest rate. Unlimited mobile transfers on the app or online. I got my first car loan at a great interest rate because I have history with them (and built credit with my credit card). If you don't love your bank, switch to Pyramid."
