"John Vingelli and his paralegal, CJ, performed very poorly for me in a personal injury case: 1. Multiple times I requested to be copied on all correspondence to others regarding my case. I was not. 2. I asked to review the Complaint before it was filed in court to make sure there were no errors. My request was not honored and the Complaint was filed with errors of fact which could have hurt my case if it had gone to trial and may have hurt it during the settlement, although there is no way of knowing if the defense attorney picked up on the errors during settlement negotiations because the arbitrator kept the defense and prosecution parties in separate rooms. 3. JV put very heavy pressure on me to settle my case, even threatening to withdraw as my attorney if I did not accept $55K (he initially set damages at $160K). From my observations, it appeared he never had any intention of taking my case to court. 4. Though I felt forced to agree to my share of the settlement on February 12, 2019, I did not receive my share until July 2. And for nearly three months past the due date of April 5, JV did not pay Medicare's claim for reimbursement for medical bills it had paid, causing me to receive notice that Medicare was about to withhold all future medical benefits and that my Social Security benefits would be diverted to pay Medicare’s claim. It wasn't until I reported this to the Bar Association and a bar staff attorney investigated that Medicare and my secondary insurance company were finally reimbursed and I finally received my share of the settlement. 5. Dozens of my emails to JV and/or CJ went ignored, including several reminders that reimbursement payments to the insurance companies were overdue."
