"We started our construction loan process in MAY of 2022. When we applied for the loan, we were told from the beginning it was pretty much a waste of our time. The "loan officer" was an absolute NIGHTMARE to deal with! Thru the whole process she kept making mistakes and never owning up to them. She told my husband he needed to pay off a particular credit card - which wasn't even his card- she had the wrong account number. It was my card, but she then said, "Oh no that card still has to be paid off." When I paid it off, she searched for something else to fixate on. She could never keep things straight. Continuously asked for additional P&L not calculating income correctly - assuming she could guess what the income would be from our small business. We BOTH make good money and the business my husband has on the side is extra income that DOUBLED our monthly income from our 9-5. She kept telling us, "Well one more month"....4 months later!! We finally found what numbers she felt would work for the loan to go thru YES after rates jumped more and more. FINALLY in NOVEMBER our loan funded, and we could move forward. She kept trying to build in extra money that we didn't need because we did all of the work ourselves. She could not grasp the fact that we could do this project for WAY LESS than she felt it should be funded for! YES, we paid more in loan fees because our joker of a loan officer couldn't understand what my husband was explaining to her. By the way, he does the SAME kind of work we were doing for our house prep, for a living! He told her multiple times that we didn't need the extra funds. Not only were the extra funds included in the loan, but they made us put up an additional $30K as a protection on the loan. As we got closer to finishing with the construction process, "loan officer" reached out and TRIED to get us to do our final mortgage with them. HA! Nether one of us even considering this as an option. We make good money and have excellent credit. There should have been zero issues, but she made enough for us to deal with to last a lifetime. This is from personal experience which can all be proven."

"Multiple reasons to be unhappy. You can not make deposits in the ATM, cash deposits are not posted immediately, merchant deposits are sometimes 2-3 days. Unfortunately we are tied to this bank for another 8 years because of our mortgage."

"Very rude! I am new to AZ and my wife just had a baby. I was on paternity leave and had not slept at all when I walked into the branch at 9am looking disheveled, asking for a row of much needed quarters, and information about opening a joint account. They looked me up and down like I was homeless and told me that I had to open an account BEFORE they would exchange a row of quarters. I told them that if that was the case they will loose my business and the teller just laughed and told me in a sarcastic tone, “that’s great!” I went across the street and got a row of quarters from Desert Financial Credit Union with no account needed...I opened an account with them anyway and then a mortgage as well. It pays to be nice to people."
