"Took my puppy in last night around midnight after he sliced open his leg pretty deep and was excessively bleeding. Front desk staff was alright and inside didn’t seem busy. Waited for a hour for my pup to get taken back that’s totally understandable. However 5 mins late they brought my dog back out with his leg wrapped and said he definitely needs stitches but there’s only one doctor and she’s new. So I can come back tomorrow and they might be able to get me in but no guarantee. Decided to try to go home for the night but in the 20 minutes drive home my dog had bled through all the wrap they put on and across my back seat. Decided to try a different animal hospital that was amazing and saw him as quickly as possible, they gave him stitches and informed me that the cut went though an artery. Needless to say, I’m thankful I decided to go to a different place and will never take my dog here and don’t recommend anyone else taking their pets here."
"The staff was good but the Vet was terrible. I had rushed my old dog in about 3:00am. My husband carried her in and a tech took her from his arms with great care. The front desk was also very nice and understanding. I thought she was probably dying. The vet stood in the doorway of the exam room and was just vague. She just kept saying the left leg was swollen badly all the way to her butt. I asked if she thought she was bleeding internally. She told me she didn’t know. Asked if she needed oxygen. Said no. I said any idea what could be wrong or is she not going to make it and should I put her out of her pain. Was told I can do an MRI and maybe that would show bleeding maybe not.. Why would you give a dying dog an MRI? She decided to do bloodwork. As she walked out of the room she commented maybe she , my dog , would make the decision for us. Not a nice comment. I decided that she was probably dying and in pain so I had her euthanized. I didn’t expect the Vet to know exactly what was wrong but I do expect a professional honest opinion. We have had 2 dogs euthanized there before and they have always been honest. One dog we were told would probably only make it till morning and the other we were told that he looked very tired and was ready to go. All I ask for is professional courtesy and an honest professional opinion. I will always live with the not knowing if I made the right decision because I don’t feel I had professional advice."
"I am not sure how to rate this. We brought our dog in two years ago that got hit by a car. The staff was subpar, but the doctors were amazing with communication. We had another vet do his hip surgery, and all went amazingly well. Two years later, we took him to Blue Pearl again because his stomach was bloated. The outcome was that when he got hit by a car, he had trauma to the chest, which Blue Pearl informed us of, but they did not see something in the x-ray that showed a defect when he got hit by the car. we took him when we noticed the bloat ding to Blue Pearl and they kept him there for the day. After seven hours or so, they instructed us that he needed emergency surgery, and we needed to transport him to another facility, which we did. By the time my dog got to the new facility, it was too late. They could not get his vital signs up, which they could not at Blue Pearl, so we lost our dog. I think Blue Pearl should have noticed some thing when he initially went in two years ago in the x-ray and I think they should have done immediate surgery within an hour of us, bringing our dog to blue pearl. but, they waited seven hours. The doctor was friendly and so friendly that she was young and when she called she was so happy that I never expected this outcome by the tone of her voice. The few times I talk to her. We went to Arizona emergency care in Peoria, and they were fantastic! Unfortunately, it was too late and we put our dog down within an hour of being there. From this day, moving forward, I will not use, nor recommend, Blue Pearl ever! We will drive the extra 15 minutes to save our dogs life and go to Arizona veterinary emergency in Peoria."
"The staff here and the all around care for our Coco during an emergency was top quality!!! It wasn’t about the money to them, they cared about coco and were transparent on what it might cost. Coco successfully had 3 beautiful puppies and was home within hours. Updates were consistent and thoughtful. The Vet took time to personally speak with us before and after. Great facility!! Thank you all at Blue Pearl for loving coco like we do!! Highly recommend 10/10!"
"Best experience hands down I took my pup in for vomiting and diarrhea had no clue what he had until they ran a parvo test and they explained me to me the whole process. They worked with my budget and got me the best treatment possible for him. Nitro is now doing great after being treated for parvo. Thank you to all the workers for taking care of nitro like if he was one of their personal pets."
