"UPDATE: Oct 3, 2019 Charles Schwab REFUSES to refund me the fee they charged me unless I sign a "Settlement Agreement & General Release" especially written for me. A three page legal document states, "I will never speak of this matter, that I can not testify about this or anything relating to it on behalf of a 3rd party, that I have had time to review the document with my attorney" etc etc etc! Charles Schwab TOOK money out of my account to bill me for advisor fees when I had NO ADVISOR! The only way they will refund my money is if I bow down to them. Charles Schwab has charged me for services NEVER RENDERED! Original Review: Investors beware! The ONLY thing Charles Schwab is interested in is how much money they can get you to deposit with them and then ignore you! Even after I contacted top management in San Francisco, no change. I also addressed the Area/Regional manager that also proved to be fruitless! "Shared" office manager (shared with the Chandler office) contact made, AGAIN a complete waste of time. Assistant manager was obviously trained by everyone just mentioned - truly unbelievable! Never in my life have I dealt with such utter incompetence at EVERY LEVEL! When they were advised my assigned financial consultant (with a VP title) had basically ignored me for almost a decade, the "shared" manager tells me, "Steve is a top producer!" I guess he meant, he really knows how to bring in the $$$$. I left the company after no one EVER advised me or even tried to contact me to tell me that my advisor was no longer with the company. To add insult to injury, Charles Schwab CHARGED me for advisor fees when NO ONE was managing my accounts and my dedicated advisor wasn't even working there! I contacted the "shared" manager via email to requested a refund of said fees. He blew me off and has NEVER replied! A week later I sent him a 2nd request. No reply from him ever! I finally received a call from some unknown person in Colorado, a "resolution manager" who tells me he had to "look into this." I followed up with him last week. Remember, Charles Schwab has a REFUNDABLE FEE guarantee, no questions asked, at least that's what they say/advertise in their commercials! Well, unless you're me, a single woman! Now Charles Schwab/the resolution manager will NOT refund my money unless I sign some documents that I have yet to receive! I assume it is a document written by their legal department to cover their a$$! Too bad they aren't that interested in caring about my investment portfolio! They refund fees ALL the time - no need to have anything escalated! WHY SUCH A BIG DEAL FOR ME? Single woman BEWARE! This place is the epitome of "the good ol' boys" network/mentally and even worse, all they want is your money in exchange for ZERO service! One star is one too many, but my only option in order to post a review! Run, don't walk!"
