H&R Block

"Had a different tax prepper this year. She was nice and polite. However, this is the first time I have ever had to verify my identity with the IRS. Throughout the process, she said she had to remember to change my address on my tax forms and now looking back, she never did. Now my taxes will be delayed for 9 more weeks once I get my letter which will take 3 weeks to get if it goes to the right address. I will not be back next year after being a customer for almost 10 years. I did my taxes in January and just now found out that I have to verify my ID with the IRS. I wish H and R block would have told me about the delay, not let me figure it out on my own. I will probably not get my taxes for a long time despite them getting paid for this service. Update: Crickets from H and R block ... My address was not changed, checked the address info with IRS and it was my old address."

"Did my taxes with them Saturday, never got a text or email after. On the app it says “working on taxes” it’s been 5 days. Called multiple times for BRENDA who said she’d call me back and never did. Called over and over, got HEIDI, who left me on hold indefinitely till the store closed. I just needed answers to move forward. They have not called back to tell me what’s going on. Not doing my taxes with them ever again."
