Reviews of Impression Foot & Ankle
"My first appointment with Dr Jeppesen I would give a 5 star for sure. Very thorough and spent a lot of time discussing and going over my issues. However, after that I had multiple disappointing experiences which included: 1. On 2 separate appointments I talked about how I was beginning to have issues with my left foot in addition to the right, detailing pain and discomfort. On one of the two occasions his assistant even brought in the Ultrasound machine as they expected Dr Jeppesen to use it to check out the left foot. But on both occasions my complaints of the new pain in that foot were completely ignored even though I told him directly how I was having pain in that foot. He would just shake his head in acknowledgment, then ignore it completely and go back to talking about my right foot. I am still having issues with the left foot. 2. After stem cell injections in my right foot I was told to expect pain and swelling for 2 weeks, but that I could still walk around in a brace for activities of daily living. However the pain and swelling was so bad I was on crutches and knee scooter for over a week as the foot could bear no weight at all. I was concerned and called on a Thursday and left a message, then got a call back from his assistant stating he would have Dr Jepessen call me. I never got a call so called again the following Monday. I talked to someone else who wrote my questions down and said the Dr would call me. Never got a call at all, I just ended up telling him what happened at my follow up appointment 3. Also in reference to the stem cell injections I found the office pretty hostile to my questions regarding them. When we first discussed the option he had mentioned PRP therapy being a few hundred and stem cells 600. As I didn’t know a ton about them I did a little google searching and saw that PRP can often be 500-600 dollars and stem cells thousands of dollars. I thought maybe Dr Jeppesen misquoted his prices and meant the PRP was 600 not the stem cells. When I called to ask about it the lady on the phone attempted to shame me for not being grateful for Dr Jeppesen’s generosity of only charging 600 for stem cells, and even relayed a message from the Dr that he could charge me thousands if I want him to. This really bothered me because I had no ill intent and just wanted to be sure I hadn’t heard wrong or that he didn’t tell me the PRP price by accident when referring to the stem cell injections. I also asked about the product itself as I wanted to learn more and this also seemed to really annoy them. Just this experience seemed uncalled for to demonize me for the questions as they seemed fair questions to have. 4. My last appointment there, which was on a Friday, I asked if they would be willing to contact Simon Med Imaging to have my MRI report re-done as the Dr had found indications of a tendon tear that the SimonMed report did not list. I had called SimonMed to ask if they would do it but they said the doctor would have to call. He said sure we can do that. So a week later on the following Friday I called to see if they were able to get ahold of Simon Med and I was told “Dr Jeppesen says he’s working on it”. A week after that (2 weeks later) I called again to see if there was any progress and was told the exact same, quite literally exactly. “Dr Jeppesen says he’s working on it”. At this point I just gave up. The following week his assistant calls me and says I should just call Simon Med. I did call and asked if my doctor had contacted them for a new report read and was told they hadn’t been contacted at all. 5. Final thing - and a bit random. In one of our first meetings we were discussing how we went to the same grad school, him for podiatry and me for pharmacy. One of the first things he says is if I knew some guy in the pharmacy class above me with a really red face. Dr. Jeppesen just starts laughing and says “yeah we used to call him Robert Redface because of all his acne hahahah.” This was just really unprofessional and immature in my opinion and really made me question his character."
"Staff was personable, and I greatly appreciated they were not pushy for any extra imagining or services and respected my rights as a patient. The quality of care was top notch and despite having a high deductible plan, the cost to me was less than anticipated. Highly recommend Dr Newswander!"
"Very friendly and helpful staff from the receptionist to the nurse to the checkout person. Dr Newswander treats his patients like they are his own family. He is friendly, has a good personality, is very detailed in his discussion of the patients issues and discusses options and treatments in layman's language. Great experience. Highly recommend!"
"Dr Vella is friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. He did a great job explaining the action plan for treating my foot and was kind, thoughtful, quick, and efficient. The nurse and office staff were very helpful and welcoming, really puts you at ease and helps you feel safe and like these are people you can trust. Calling to schedule appointments is quick and easy. I loved being able to fill out the new patient paperwork online. Office is clean and inviting."
"I have a connective tissue disorder and the ligaments in my feet and ankles have been getting really weak over the years. I went to see Dr. Jeppeson after another fall (had so many) gave me another bad sprain (had so many). He did a thorough workup, gave me shots & cream/gel for pain, exercise regimen, p/t, and hard braces. He monitored my progress and was straight with me about my prognosis (bad) and future care. I really appreciate his being clear and upfront and doing as much as he can to stabilize my joints without risking my health unnecessarily with surgeries. I hate bull. He is a top notch doctor. I highly recommend him. (The office staff is super helpful too.)"
