"My kids started here 3 weeks ago and were referred by a friend. So far we are pretty impressed. First off, the location is the best. Right in San Tan Market Place. The instructor Joel is very patient with the kids and changes things up during the training. The kids got to try a few lessons before we committed to anything. The owner, Dave, explained the different options for a family plan and the rates are very reasonable. The one family price allows everyone in the family to participate, they even have adult classes at night if the parents want to do it as well. The kids look forward the training every week and have earned their first stripe already on their white belts!"

My son’s confidence and skills have increased more with Joel than they did the previous Sensai. Highly recommend."

"We had an incredible experience during the first several months of being a part of Premier Martial Arts in Gilbert. We attended all events, held a birthday party, and even brought two additional students on through referral. However, the owner, Holly, has never been approachable or friendly, which we tolerated since Sensei John and the other instructors were such great examples and leaders for the students. A Program Director change from Jessie to Jacob/Ashleigh resulted in a breakdown in communication, scheduling, and overall service. I could list upwards of 20 attempts to contact PMA staff regarding belt test scheduling, payment updates, and other administrative items. Unfortunately, they have been non-responsive. We have felt forced to cancel our payment card since we have been unable to reach anyone to cancel our membership properly. Sensei John's resignation was another indicator that the leadership at this dojo is struggling. I am so disappointed to write the third review in my lifetime in a negative light for something that gave my son so much positivity at one point. Had they responded to my inquiries, I would not have felt obligated to go this route. I will be reaching out to the PMA corporate offices and hope that the team in Gilbert determines that professionalism and responsiveness will benefit them going forward."

"We Loved sensei John! Management has changed and he is no longer at this dojo. Miss Ashleigh is the program "director" and schedules appts for progress checks and then doesn't show up or cancels last minute. When you have a meeting with her she does not take in her actions and always has to blame someone else for her actions- Communication is poor until you are ready to terminate services and then they continue to flood your texts and email with messages. When you show up for class and our kids have to bow to them to show respect Ashleigh and Jacob have no respect to bow back!!! So I have told them my son won’t bow to them or show respect if they can’t! High program costs as well as a charge for each child's progression in the belt system! They charge you for so much things do sales and you never get the products you have paid for ! In December last year I spent over 2k on products I didn’t receive!!!! They said it’s in the mail but it still has not come I finally asked for a refund but I didn’t take no for an answer - it’s so sad because we loved it with John and Jesse but now it’s run by horrible people who smoke in the back room and are in a relationship and if you watch closely you will see how they always favor each other no one can say a I’ll word about the other to one of them or Jacob will make you call Ashleigh and apologize for your actions — ridiculous!! I hope the owner gets rid of these people and gets a better staff to save her company because it was a success tell they came in! Strongly suggest not attending a PMA."
