"Signed my 5 year old for a free trial after watching one of the coaches work with my niece and nephew, he was really excited to start and learn jiu jitsu. After 2 days of his WEEK trial a female coach told me my son wasn’t ready, right in front of his face. My son heard what she said because she didn’t not pull me aside privately and it broke his heart. He was not given the opportunity that I saw other children receive at their free trial the previous week. He was taught no moves, just thrown onto the mat and criticized by this coach. She told me my son did not understand the warm up, I watched her assistant (who was a younger girl, not a real coach) explain to him what he needs to do and it made no sense. Me as a 25 year old did not understand I’m not sure how they expected my 5 year old to understand. I called and asked to speak to the coach that told my son he was not allowed to continue his free trial so she can explain to me why so we can work on it and try again but I never received a call which shows how little respect she has. The program is amazing and I would’ve loved to give my son an opportunity to learn self defense and be out there with his cousins but unfortunately he was robbed from that because the coach was probably just having a bad day. Really sad that she gave up on my son so quickly and made him feel he was not good enough for her class. If you sign your child up for a free trial week make sure it’s actually a week and not 2 days."

"What an incredible BJJ Academy. I traveled out to Arizona for a wedding and needed to sneak in some training. Professor Sandoval made me feel welcome immediately and made sure I rolled with every student. The facility is huge and very clean. All the belts were advanced and technical at every level.
