"I’ve been training at GB North Phoenix since 2020. I can’t say enough great things about Professor JowJow, Efrain, Chris, and all the instructors. They make you feel at home and the school has a community feel. I also appreciate the way they work you up into sparring. At some schools you can get thrown to the sharks right away. Having trained martial marts and boxing myself for years I don’t believe this is ideal for people starting out in a combat sport. You shouldn’t really spar until you know what to do and how to defend yourself. They take time to teach you offense and most importantly defense before you get to live spar. I think this helps keep people safe and also allows them to actually be prepared once it’s time to live spar. Can’t recommend this school enough."
