"Dr Cohen is an extremely wonderful professional. I went to her for several years as a young adult and felt a tremendous amount of support. I was recommended to her to follow along with intense out care patient therapy. She was perfect. These are the reasons I personally recommend her: 1. Compassionate - she always made me feel understood. If I was struggling to feel heard - I always knew I could count on Barbara to listen to me. 2. Friendly - some medical professionals can be awkward or hard to connect with. Barbara was always personable, welcoming and easy to talk to. 3. Understanding - when I moved to college, it was difficult to come to her office but I still needed someone I felt safe talking to. She accommodated me by letting me email her. 4. Cares about me - I have known Dr.Cohen for 8 years and she has become almost like family! She is there to celebrate my happiest moments and counsel me on the moments that seem a lot harder. I feel so lucky to have found her!"

"I saw Dr. Cohen several times. She is very personable, and was always on time. (Didn't keep me waiting.) During our therapy sessions however she was not helpful at all. At one point I was expressing a pretty common issue I was dealing with and she was non responsive so I asked her for some guidance, advice, or feedback. She replied with "I'm at a loss". This was very disconcerting. If you are looking for a therapist that just seems to listen like a board, go with Dr. Cohen. If you are looking for a therapist that can actually help you work through problems, find someone else."
