"Learning about the history of the observatory was interesting. Seeing the many telescopes on the peak was impressive, but actually using a telescope to personally see Jupiter and its moons, and the many star clusters was amazing!!! We had to use red filters on our headlights on the way out . That was scarry, but it was only until we were clear of the telescopes (less than a mile)."
"Great experience traveling to the top of Kitt Peak, and then touring the grounds and the large Observatory, and seeing all the other Observatories. This included a very detailed tour of the grounds/telescope with the very knowledgeable staff Guide! Learned a lot through the guided Tour .. Thank you."

"I had made a reservation for the Nicholas U. Mayall 4-meter guided tour. I was in luck that week as highway 386 had just reopened 4 days earlier after being closed for 3 years because of wildfire damage. The tour was awesome, guided by astronomers and astro-physicists it was simply breathtaking. Will go again to tour other observatories."
"I've been interested in astronomy for a few years and this place did not disappoint. The evening program is expensive, but the day tours are free. I suggest you get there early enough to experience a tour. We got there a little late, and missed a tour, still the place has much to offer. You will learn something, probably much. The visitor center was particularly informative."
