Dr. Gary C. Mallis, MD

"I was highly disappointed in Dr. Mallis at the Scottsdale Children’s Urgent Care. We were visiting family and had to go to the Urgent care and Dr. Mallis was the only doctor available. He was rude, arrogant and condescending. Our son is 3-years old is in unexplained stomach pains, fever and vomiting. We were given an X-ray and then told it was just trapped gas and sent on our way. We were in and out within 18 mins and our son is still sick and in pain and now looking at possible appendicitis. He does not put thought or care into his little patients that come in. He specifically told us that we need to lay off carbs and bananas and then told us we just need to follow the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Apple & Toast)? When questioned how this was contradictory to what he just told us, he didn’t even acknowledge it and told us “whatever he’ll be fine”??! I can’t express my dislike enough for this rude doctor and Children’s hospital needs to do some research before they hire pediatricians! Simple search would show he is not effective nor does he have good bedside manners. I would never recommend him to anyone, go somewhere else."
