Reviews
"Terrible at her job. Did not follow legal orders and incorrectly documented visits and facts about child. Clearly looks for an opportunity to make more money and if you ask her to schedule an appt at a later date, when you're available, if it doesn't work for her, she will argue with you and hang up on you. This woman should not be working with children. I should have read the prior reviews before any appointments were made. Rude, incompetent & unprofessional."
"She is ableist, condescending and completely ignorant about autism! I have been autistic for 32 years and I know how autistics are! My husband and I decided to get my son diagnosed and pursued talking to this lady. It became clear pretty quickly that she was more interested in antagonizing ME. My life has NOTHING to do with my son being autistic! NOTHING! Her questionnaires basically looked like "how much do you hate your child", completely HATE ORIENTED! She wanted MY HUSBANDS permission to evaluate my son! DEMANDED IT! Because she believes autistics are NOT ALLOWED TO BE INDEPENDENT! She is CLEARLY ableist and hateful! Take your kids somewhere else!"
"I’m sad to read the previous reviews as my family and I have had an amazing experience with Doctor McDonough-Means. She is incredibly experienced and holds parent’s accountable for their children’s well being. She expects that her treatment plan will be followed and if not she may call you out but that is what you would expect from someone who truly cares about children and their wellbeing. Doctor McDonough-Means has had hour long conversations with us on the phone when we call to ask advice - we will be forever thankful for finding her - also she is the only developmental pediatrician that doesn’t have a multiple month wait list - HIGHLY recommend her and forever thankful to her for being empathetic, holding us accountable and caring about our child’s health as much as she does."
"This dr sent me a bill for an appointment that was never confirmed. Not to mention did she not have any insurance info or medical docs for my son. Now this bill is in collections when I never agreed to a date, or signed anything saying she would charge me if there was a cancellation, and she has never seen my son at all!"
"Out of 3 appointments total, we walked away from all 3 feeling defensive, on edge, and dreading another encounter. During the last appointment, we were handed our son's records and pretty much shown the door after we voiced our dissatisfaction with how things had been proceeding. Although we did find out some useful information, my initial concerns for my son were never even addressed, so I still have no answers. I am now seeking a new referral to someone else."
