"Dr. Concannon is awesome! His sense of humor had my son laughing the entire appointment. I thought it was a cute and funny way to end the appointment with the doc coming in with a huge syringe full of water and lightly squirting my son. It makes doctor visits less intimidating for kids. The ladies at the front are personable and timely. And if you're anything like me (a procrastinator), they will call you to remind you that it's almost time for a visit. I don't post reviews unless I have a very strong opinion, and I hope my 5 star raises the overall rating of cholla pediatrics, because they are awesome!"

"The doctor I got, this was my first time visiting him, was really strange. My first impression of him was him spraying kids with a squirt gun. I didn't think much of it. I then got a physical from him that was very uncomfortable. It was the longest lasting physical I have ever received and I am an avid athlete. I asked if I could not get that part of the examination, I have before and it was fine, but it wasn't an option. He also said "You have a big mouth, hope I don't fall in". Even my mother thought that was weird. Never going back, Still looking for a new doctor."

"The nurses and MD (Typlin) were all appropriate with their care. My concern is with the billing department. My family does not have a plan with co-pays this year, and when searching for a pediatrician for my two children's yearly well visit, I spoke in-depthly with the billing department at Cholla Pediatrics prior to scheduling their yearly Well Visits. I specifically asked the billing department if the only charge would be the standard 'well visit' charge, and was told this is the case. I even explained that our insurance does not have co-pays and that we would have to pay for each charge and wanted to avoid this. Cholla Pediatrics stated that they ONLY charge the well visit charge, and do not attempt to 'nickel and dime' patients. When I received my bill for the two well visits, Cholla Pediatrics tacked on additional charges for hearing and vision tests, as well as developmental testing, which these additional charges were never discussed with me despite my inquiry, also these were charges that I assumed would be included in the Well Visit charge per my previous discussion with billing. I attempted to discuss this with the billing department, however was met with a statement that they were sorry but that their front office staff apparently does not correlate with the back office clinicians and really doesn't understand what the charges will be after insurance processes. To make a long story short, if your insurance does not have co-pays, and you have to pay a portion of each individual charge, be prepared to be nickel and dimed by this practice. I plan to take my services elsewhere where the billing department is more aware of their charges and will work appropriately with the consumer."

"We liked our doctor, the wait times are average, but I'd rather go to the DMV than take my kids here again... though the experience was similar. Customer service is beyond terrible and after seven years of bringing my kids here and hoping it will improve... it's only gotten worse."

"The doctors and nurses here are great. Sadly, talking to the referral office was comparable to spending an afternoon at the MVD. I understand that everyone has bad days but I called referrals on three separate occasions months apart from each other and got the same pathetic customer service each time. It was like I was bothering the lady. Now we have to look for a new doctor."
