"This location at W. Thunderbird Rd. Is the worst. Last month I was the ride for my friend with her surgery. They called her last minute and said they had to push back the surgery by 2 hours leaving my friend without a ride. So I’m her ride home today and the called me at 11:50 saying the surgery would be done earlier so if I wanted to come in an hour she’d be ready. I live close to an hour away so I left shortly after the call. I got here at 12:45 and they told me 15 minutes later that she was just going into surgery. It would be 45-an hour. Showed them my voicemail and their reply was too bad this is how long it’s going to be. The staffing at this location all need retraining. Now I sit here for 2 hours. I would NEVER come here for anything."

"I could not have asked for more, from reception to prepping me for surgery, the anesthesiologist and recovery was very smooth. Everybody was respectful and professional. Things went so smooth for me that when they woke me up in recovery, I didn't even know my surgery was over and I was going home. My Doctor was Dr. Hwang, saw the Doctor today and I now have 20/20 vision in my right eye and I will be going back in a couple of weeks for my left. Anyone who has a problem with this highly professional staff needs to look in a mirror for the answer to their problem"

"My doctors were great. The staff however ruined my entire eye surgery experience. Everything was done last minute. There was no communication. Thank god I physically feel okay the day after surgery because the amount of extra stress they put on me from messing up my appointment scheduling really is the worst!!! Yesterday I waited 4 hours for surgery and today I showed up for my post op to find there were no doctors and that they gave me the wrong location AND time. I am from out of town and I had already checked out of my hotel. Would not recommend Spectra to anyone. If I could give them 0 stars, I would."

"I am truly puzzled by the low reviews, few that there are. This place runs like a well-oiled machine and I'm always impressed. The times I have been here are for cataract surgery, and the way they do things make sense. Everyone with cataract surgery scheduled is there in staggering times and is seen accordingly. If there is any wait, it's just because there are so many of us baby boomers who need that procedure! Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. It is fun for me to see all the same people who were waiting for their surgery the day that I had mine,the next day at the follow-up appointments! Now understand I am not wishing for a third eye so I could have another cataract surgery, but I do hope I will have reason to come to this place again in the future!"

"You just don't know what questions to ask when your surgeon recommends surgery. If you're having eye surgery I recommend you avoid Spectra Eye Institute Surgical Center. The care is impersonal. While my 2nd experience was better than the first, I am thankful I only have two eyes and will never have to return."
