"POD was excellent. Everything worked out perfectly according to plan. Our small pod was shipped across country and only took 7 days. It arrived exactly on the day it was quoted. We couldn’t be happier. We did not comparison shop, so I’m unsure how the price compares. But time is money and the convenience and reliability of POD made this experience great."

"I am giving PODS a 3 rating because my container did actually arrive, otherwise it would have been lower. When I dealt with the customer service people, I wasn't sure it would actually make it. Long wait times by phone and when you did get someone, the odds of them knowing what was going on was slim. It took 3 people to find my account and schedule a delivery. They kept confusing the initial delivery of the empty container with the final delivery. English was not the first language of all of the staff I dealt with and that was stressful...especially when ALL your belongings are at stake. For as much as I paid, I had an expectation of better, quality customer service. Definitely NOT worth the price. The driver who delivered my pod at the final destination was new. So new he was wearing a shirt with someone else's name on it. It was clear he didn't have much experience doing deliveries...he had LOTS of trouble putting it on one side of the driveway and had traffic blocked on my street because he parked the truck in the middle of the street. Use at your own risk...I can't recommend this service with a clear conscience. I doubt this review will get posted, but if it does, heed my warning."

"My experience with PODS has been truly horrible. We paid a lot of money to have PODS deliver our belongings to our new house on October 28. Since I would be at the house alone, and not able to unload some of the heavier items myself, we flew a friend across the country to help me. However, apparently, 3 days before the POD was supposed to arrive, there was a problem and they knew that the POD would not arrive on time. But PODS did not communicate this to me. On the day of arrival, we got up early and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally I contacted PODS to ask about the delivery. And on 2 occasions I was told by a PODS employee to keep waiting, the delivery would just be a little late. Even though days earlier they knew they could deliver the POD on the contracted date. Finally, after wasting our entire Saturday waiting for a POD that would never arrive, PODS told us that it would not be coming today, or tomorrow, but it would arrive that Monday. After my friend had already flown back home. I was distraught. How was I going to move the heavy things? I would have to hire someone. So more money out of our pocket. Monday came and went, and no POD arrived. I called PODS and they told me how sorry they were, but that the POD would arrive by the end of the week. I expressed how this has already cost us money that we wouldn’t get back and has completely messed up my schedule. After a couple of days passed, we called again. This time we were told that the POD would NOT be arriving this week, but not until November 18! 3 WEEKS PAST THE ORIGINAL DATE! As of right now PODS is still holding onto our belongings. We’ve been lied to several times about when they would return our things to us. The amount of stress and money lost because of PODS failure to honor their contract to do their job is outrageous. I am supposed to be hosting Thanksgiving, but my kitchen table, dishes and other items are being held hostage in the POD. At this point, I can only hope and pray that PODS gives me my property when they said this time, otherwise Thanksgiving will definitely be ruined this year. My advice: DO NOT USE PODS. I sure won’t ever again."

"PODS made the process of moving my mom from Florida to Arizona, into assisted living, smooth and hassle-free. Every person I encountered from the company--in person or by phone--was knowledgeable and friendly. I had no trouble getting answers to my questions, and the price for the move was competitive. It was nearly the same as what I would have paid to rent a truck and move the items myself across the country (even with the added cost of paying movers to fill and empty the pod). I liked that the cost was charged in increments as the move progressed, and there were no surprises. I only wish they had more capacity to provide more moving dates. The window of opportunity to schedule the delivery on my preferred date was short and I missed my chance. I opted to empty the Pod myself (with movers' help) since that offered more flexibility on timing. Even still, it was an easy process."
