Reviews of Pima Community College - East Campus
"Brought our child in for a new passport appointment - and it was a dream. Honestly. Parking was easy it was a little confusing to find the office but once we got there we were helped straight away and we got out quickly. If I had known they'd done the pictures there as well I would have done that too."
"There are many nice people who work here. There is a high risk of theft and also no cafeteria, just a lunch room and canteen. The library is not open on weekends which is a shame. The library is fairly quiet. The biggest downfall is you have to go around a large golf course to get to the campus south of it. It's a pity there is no direct road from the north to get there. All around the campus, there are estates and that is also a shame because people have to drive further from other parts of Tucson to get to the campus. Few will reside in these estates unless they own or have a house parent there. There is really no true student housing nearby and the campus is not in a convenient location."
"Somehow my old review got deleted. I attended one online class to start my career and see how online classes would work out for me after high school graduation and since I was working full time. Biggest mistake ever. At first it was a breeze going through my online work. But when I needed an additional attempt to pass a quiz, (only approved by instructor) my instructor completely stopped replying to my emails and did not allow me any attempts as if she didn’t care that I was in her class. This was only the first week or so. Eventually I got dropped because I couldn’t move forward without the instructor. I was contacting her everyday all day worried about what am I going to do. No response ever. It was her correct information so there was no excuse why she didn’t respond. I even tried contacting her through the website we worked on. She never attempted to reach out to me. Worst experience to ever go through knowing you are capable of going to school (3.0 GPA and early graduate) it was devastating for an instructor to cut you completely off not even giving you a fair chance. Very unprofessional, lack of communication, and I would not recommend this place. Online or on campus no one should be treated as such."
"This is where I made the biggest mistake of my life; continuing my education in a country that devalues intellect. If you're having doubts, trust your gut. Do not waste your time and money doing what other people tell you might make you happy or successful when almost everyone in town is either a loser, a crackhead, or mostly frequently both."
"Sadly the school isn't close to preCovid experience. Difficult to get many basic services. Staff friendliness, knowledge is like a flip of a coin. I've encountered some amazing staff and others I wonder why they're employed. Calling for help is less than 50/50 for knowledge staff. Still almost a ghost town. February 2023. Hoping next semester will be better, those coming out of high school should be able to have some normalcy. Day and night classes are low student count. Trying to enroll was as a new student was difficult. Many staff can't find things on the school website. Phone call for website isn't helpful as things aren't in the same place with different systems."
