"I’m not sure how this Dr. is even practicing. He was not caring, empathetic at all in any way. I basically paid 300+ for a 5 min appt, if that. The way I was treated was unacceptable. Basically, in my view, he told me since I’m not having physical issues and tho I had already been diagnosed prev. yes, that it was a joke. He then proceeded to tell me that the pain I’ve been having was from a car accident rather from my diagnosis, because he was able to see that I have a neurologist appointment. Not only that but he proceeded to belittle from a sweatshirt I was wearing and says that he should get one with all 1%. Then he ask me if I’ve been feeling fatigued and I said yes he then blames it on an eye issue. Then he tells me to schedule an appointment in a month and to get my blood drawn?!? As im sitting there for a labs he’s walking out. ’m definitely going to speak with my Primary regarding this dr. He needs to drop the Hematology from his practice."
"Dr Gopal is fabulous! He is really focused on you and what you are going through! Compassionate and knowledgeable!"
"I have started seeing Dr. Gopal as a referral from my primary care doctor and I have been super happy with this decision. In my opinion, he ordered just the right amount of lab work to reach a diagnosis. By using my medicare advantage plan through Honor Health, the fees were very reasonable and I knew exactly what they would be in advance. Dr. Gopal was very kind and very "down-to-earth" when discussing the results, he thoroughly answered all my questions, and we arrived at a plan of action that I am comfortable and confident with. He is very knowledgable and was both realistic and optimistic during our discussions. I highly recommend him!"
"I'm very grateful my primary care doctor referred me to Dr. Gopal. After years of my PSA numbers going up (post prostatectomy), being told by other oncologists to keep an eye on it, he, after reviewing my medical history, quickly referred me to Dr. Maggass. They found my cancer has returned and are both addressing it very agressively. This is what all cancer patients want and need from their oncologists!"
"Dr. Gopal was rude to me when I corrected him about my Diabetes diagnosis when we were talking. He harassed me on how "I knew I was type 1". He would not accept that I had been diagnosed through testing by an endocrinologist. He also did not explain that the tests he was ordering may be expensive, laboratories do not go over cost at all, and that is something the doctor should at least mention even if in vague terms. Thankfully my insurance covered the majority of the cost. In addition, the second time he ordered tests he said "there is one more test we can do", it ended up being 4 tests, and he never explained these tests he was ordering much less told me what tests and why. He expected me to wait in office for at minimum another hour on top of my already 2 hours to take the blood work that he did not explain, after dismissing what I had said during the appointment making me feel like a walking paycheck. His office also setup a follow-up appointment for me though I had told them that I would call to set it up. Overall, if you can find another dr, do. His bedside manner was rude, short and dismissive. He also ignored what I had listed as my medical conditions which could be dangerous."
