"Awesome place to spend a few hours and get some history lessons! Rangers and staff were awesome, engaging and friendly. Ruins were excellent and made for great pictures. Don't forget to get your passport books stamped!"
"Awesome national park site. Had no idea this was the first national cultural monument back in 1892. A lot of info about the site's history and the people that farmed here are located in the visitor center, but the I formation boards around the monument are extremely informative also. They also give guided tours. It's worth the 20-mile or so detour from your I-10 travels if you have the time."
"Very glad we made this stop during our travel in the area. Being able to directly see history makes so much more of an impact compared to just reading about it. We watched the informative short movie before touring outside. We walked around on our own, but there are ranger guided tours. We went on a week day toward the end of January and it was not crowded at all. We had our 5th wheel attached and could get around in the parking lot fine."
"I appreciate this place so much. It’s got so much history. They have a guided tour in case you are interested, otherwise, there is no cost to go through and check out the museum and walk around the ruins."
"We stopped here on the way from Phoenix to Tucson. It was easy enough to get to from the highway. We weren’t sure what to expect but so happy we went there. It’s a very historic place and helps tell the story of the culture. There’s a museum that is well worth visiting. It’s not too big so you can go through it without committing a lot of time. Outside are the ruins that date back to the early days of the Native Americans. The ruins are also worth visiting. There was an employee there who could answer questions etc. There’s a gas station, some shopping available a few miles away. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area."
