"Six years ago I went to Dr. Lock regarding my right knee. At that time we decided that an injection was All I needed for now, but a knee replacement was in the cards when I got older. Sure enough, now the knee is too bad for the injections. So we decided to get a full knee replacement. 10 weeks ago now I had the knee replacement and let me tell you, I was amazed. Walking the first day, out of the walker in 3 days, no longer need the cane after the 10 day check-up. PT starts then, only 6 sessions and PT tells me I am done! After a month I am walking normal, still some pain. After 6 weeks only pain is when I do the home PT items to stretch it. I have to say I am supper happy with the results. Like most people I wish I did it a couple years earlier. It is now 10 weeks and I feel like a new man! No pain! Can walk up and down stairs without pain. Sweet. I also have to say he took a bunch of extra effort to sew up the incision and then Dermabond the skin and not use staples. The scare is amazingly this and smooth! Now, about the support after surgery. They are a very busy practice with two locations that Dr. Lock sees patients and he does surgery's a couple times a week. So, getting to talk to him is a bit of a chore. When you do see him he is direct to the point so he can move on to the next patient. Now adays, I think that is pretty much everywhere. I have had other surgery's and the time with the patient (me) was even harder to get. I found Dr. Lock to have a good sense of humor as does his PA Lesa. All the folk in the office are very nice and have the right amount of empathy. The lady on the phone is a bit of a hard one as she is the only phone person and they are constant. I felt like I was talking to my Mom when I was in trouble or I was on her last nerve. Bottomline for me is that I will recommend Dr. Lock to anyone needing a knee replacement. I think Knees and Hips he is a high volume doctor, with thousands done. There is no one around with his experience and skill!"
