"I’m 10 or so classes into my PhD. I am full time Active Duty Military, and I maintain a 3.9-4.0 in every class. My average class requirement is between 12-20 pages a week. The process has been painless. When I need a leave of absence it is simple to process, teachers have been fair and understanding. I think most people complaining either didn’t expect the work load for higher degrees, are lazy, or don’t do the research into how the programs work. Everything you need to know about dropping classes, cancelling classes, LOAs, is written somewhere."
"Horrible communication/doesn’t returning calls, emails. I’ve receive emails saying I enrolled in classes that I did not, I’ve emailed 5 people that are supposed to be my “assigned” advisors and that were copied on the emails I received saying I had enrolled in a class with no responses, I’ve called and left messages, no responses. This school has really gone down hill. I didn’t have as many of these problems when I obtained my MBA in 2018, I returned to get my PHD and have had nothing but issues. Technical issues, communication issues, not responsive, course outline not matching assignment directions, or unable to access material. Horrible experience! Would NOT recommend!!"
"STAY FAR AWAY RUN FROM THIS MONEY TRAP. I originally worked with David Gray after being transferred from someone named Roland who was nice. After getting all my info to enrolled me that's when you see the twin personality of NCU. They are nice and pleasant while they are enrolling you. Then when they think you're going to start that's where the lies come out and pleasantries fade. I was assured that my employer tuition discount would be applied. After submitting paycheck stubs and confirming I only wanted to take enough to cover my classes. Well mysteriously a week before I'm supposed to start my discount is removed. I was informed to reach out to my my enrollment specialist David and whoa did I get reminded to pay attention to the reviews. He became rude and stated well I can cancel your application. Well I never asked for that I simply asked for you to find out what else I can provide. My HR department and Abenity confirmed they have a discount with your university. Well he refused to help and dumped me off to someone's vm because I need to speak to Academics and Finance surprise surprise. I call back in tears because in the 10+ years I've never had anyone talk to me in that capacity in a school environment to get someone in that department who says no you need to speak back to David's team. I am then transferred to another person who is just as bad as David who refused to give me his manager's information on a recorded line. It was then and there I decided to not attend NCU. This school is way too expensive to be ran this way. I heard things about National University when I worked for GCU and UOPX and I should is listened. Don't waste your time or money go someone else. I didn't want to keep spending money at Liberty learning of its current and sordid past but I'll go back and pay less than half of what I'll pay at this unprofessional degree mill."
"I just completed my PhD at Northcentral University. For the most part it is an excellent school. While I did have difficulty with one professor, the issue was resolved quickly and professionally. As an individual who worked full time while getting my degree, I love the fact that I could follow my own schedule to meet required deadlines. The professors were very helpful, and I did not have long periods to wait for answers to any questions I had regarding assignments. Overall, my experience was good, and I would recommend the school to other individuals seeking a quality education."
"I’m 3 classes from completing my MBA. The academic side has been good; the other services not great. On the positive side, responsive professors and useful content. I honestly think if you communicate regularly and do the work it’s a good program. They have some problems on the support side, particularly with Financial Aid. The advising staff is friendly and wants to help, but when answers are needed they seem to have to search for help to get them (possibly unavailable or over-assigned supervisors). I’ve had several glitches along the way with my Financial Aid where steps in the process were supposed to happen automatically and didn’t. The fix apparently was a ticket submission, then waiting for another department to complete an action. This has resulted in significant delays that are well past the time period quoted by the university. **Editing a few months later: my issue was finally fixed but it took an inordinate amount of time. I still think if you are depending on financial aid be wary, but if you are paying out of pocket or similar you will likely have a good experience. I do enjoy the academics and even the professors with whom I didn’t connect were professional."
