Reviews
"Very interesting area to visit. Plenty of room to park. Easy access less than a mile off the highway. Only a short walk, easy walk to the Petroglyphs. Easy hike even for small children."
"This place is awesome. You can go and do whatever you want here. i like the fact i can hike where EVER i want to go. you can go shooting,off-roading, swimming, ruins everywhere if you can find them, This is how places should be and give you the freedom to wonder and explore."
"It was worthy of seeing ancient history and some good photo opportunities. The river was dry with a lot of rocky and sandy areas to maneuver through."
"Beautiful desert and BLM land. The road to get to Pueblo la Plata is very rough and may require 4wd. The area is very open with multiple camping spots off of the main dirt road. The views are nice and it is very peaceful. A great place to spend the night and relax in the wilderness."
"Beautiful National Monument full of historical and archeological significance. We loved hiking along the river in early May to see the greenery and nice water. There are a few nice places to swim depending on the water level, but you'll have to be willing to hike to find them."
