"Great experience - the staff was highly professional and unusually helpful. Dr. Melcer’s consult was excellent. Told me I don’t need surgery - and how often do you hear that from a surgeon?! Puts truth over money. We were impressed!"
"From the first visit I knew that I was in the right place. The staff was friendly and very knowledgable about my needs, additionally the had an answer machine in case of emergency, it made me more relaxed knowing that I was able to reach someone. I had 2 procedures done at the same time which I was grateful for as I do not like being out or pain medicated-they were SUPER accommodating. THANK YOU!!"
"If you have a concern or an issue then I believe staff should make it a priority for you to be seen on the same day. Even if the issue may be insignificant.. Mine was a huge issue and they made me wait 8 days to be seen. They said you should of called. I DID!!! 3 times ! And once in tears because I couldn’t handle it. For 8 days I endured so much pain and suffering. I was in and out of convenient care and emergency department. I really thought I was going crazy with the pain. I also collected a lot of out of pocket expenses along the way that I shouldn’t be covering. The surgical staff should have never let me leave the recovery room the day of the surgery with such angry red incisions. But I was so out of it with anesthesia and all how could I have known that day! I was allergic to the glue they used on my incisions. It was a terrible reaction. They’re only advise was well you’re on everything you need to be on now. Yes 5 phone calls, 2 different visits later, 8 days too late. I don’t like the way they handled this from the very beginning. Being on steroids may seem to be the treatment of choice but there are many side effects and I feel this could have been avoided. 8 days later I still had the glue intact in my incisions and they expected me to know how to remove that. I am so sad. Sleep deprived. And in pain! I’ve been in tears every single day and it’s not right. They have yet to make it right or apologize for not addressing my concern sooner. This may not be their fault that I was allergic but the fact that I suffered as long as I did without the proper treatment, a lot of this extra stuff could have been avoided."
"HORRIBLE!!! Choose someone else of you can!! I would have given ZERO stars if that was an option!! The doctor seemed nice, however her scheduler Karen is a nutcase! I was told to write down my available days for surgery and that I would be contacted within 48 hours to schedule. I waited a week and a half and after no call I called them. I was transferred to Karen (the nightmare scheduler) and she told me she had already scheduled my surgery although we had never spoke. I asked why I was not included in picking a date and when someone was going to inform me I was scheduled for surgery and she told me she had two weeks to inform me of when I was scheduled for surgery and that I apparently signed a consent agreeing to have the surgery scheduled at their discretion. The doctor clearly mislead me. I told her that the day she picked was not one of the days I marked as being available and did not think I could make this work. I advised I would need to check with family that will be helping me after surgery. I called back the next day and cancelled the surgery. I was NEVER given any other options for surgery during either phone call. I called back a few days later to attempt to schedule surgery again as I already PAID for my surgical consult with this doctor and was now told they would not reschedule my surgery as I canceled the first surgery date that I had absolutely no part of even scheduling and was never even called to advise of this scheduled date!!! You can imagine how angry I became and began explaining to the scheduler I have infant twins still having middle of the night feedings and a toddler and as I cannot lift my babies for a week after surgery and I needed to rely on the schedule of my family members who will be helping. She told me that I should have told her that in the first place and maybe she would have allowed me to be involved in choosing a surgery date. Keep in mind this is NOT a medical professional!!! I should not have to divulge ANY personal information to her!!! I of course filed a HIPAA compliant and made a complaint to the office manager Vicky. Although Vicky was very nice she was absolutely no help. I never called back as I decided If this is how they operate I was better off spending another $30 to have a surgical consult with a doctor who didn't make me feel like I was dealing with used car salesman. If you want ANY say in your surgery date, like being informed of when you are having surgery, expect to be treated kindly, like honest and clear communication, DO NOT CHOOSE this doctor. On a final note...This woman was so horrible and rude that I can honestly say I have been treated kinder by bill collectors. Having serious health problems, young children and trying to find a way to take care of both your babies and your health during a pandemic is already hard enough. Please consider everything I have told you before you put yourself through this! I will post my experience EVERYWHERE to help others from going through this. I also intend to post the recorded calls so you can hear for yourself!!!"
"Dr Olson and the staff at Presido were extremely helpful as I went through cancer diagnosis. Surgery and recovery. They were always available to answer questions or to get me in for an appointment. I felt very comfortable putting my trust in them."
