"I am currently a student enrolled here, and I am on a 6-month clinical rotation. I have been quite pleased with my ultrasound experience! The instructors genuinely care about your specific learning experience and will even take the time to assist you if you need further assistance! I thoroughly enjoyed working with Mike LaJoy who took time to help tutor me for the SPI! The experience has been fantastic, and it's been exciting to put all of the knowledge and tips I've gained in school into practice! I have been working in a hospital and it has been amazing. Laurie, the program director, does an amazing job at working with the students and recommending sites to go to! I’m so grateful to have this opportunity!"
"I had a wonderful experience in my 3 years at WCUI. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Sonography, so I did the Echo program. Echocardiography is an incredible field. It’s rewarding, challenging, and every day that I go to work I am so happy I chose this as my career path."
"Can’t say enough great things about this school and my experience. The instructors and faculty are so welcoming and encouraging from the very first day and through the entire 3 years of the DMS program!! The compassion, resources given, and knowledge everyone was willing to give made this 3 year sacrifice beyond worth it!!!"
"Just wanted to share my thoughts on Smith Chason College's MRI program since I graduated in December 2023. It was a blast, and I'm super happy with the whole experience – from the awesome staff and instructors to the hands-on externship. What's cool about it is you get to play around with different machines and software during the program. They make sure you're comfy with all sorts of setups, which is a big plus. The externship is where the magic happens; you'll see a lot of stuff depending on the setup. I did mine at Valleywise Health, and it was quite an experience to see what's happening in the hospital setup. Oh, and they set you up to get certified as an ARRT-certified MRI Technologist. The board exam sounds a bit intimidating, but as long as you pay attention to the lessons and put in some study time, you'll be golden. In the job hunt, things moved pretty quickly for me after graduating. It's not a guarantee everywhere, but there are spots that dig hiring new grads. Few things to keep in mind – this program is no cakewalk. You gotta put in the effort. MRI requires you to be a self-starter and a critical thinker to solve problems. Online classes can be a bit tricky since it's not the same as being in a classroom, but the flexibility is a game-changer. And let's talk about MRI concepts – they can be a head-scratcher at first, but stick with it. It's a bit of a challenge, but totally doable with some dedication. So, bottom line – if you're ready to put in the work, this program is a solid choice. It's not just about getting through it; it's about setting yourself up for a kickass career as an MRI Technologist. Totally worth it!"
"I had an outstanding experience at WCUI Medical Imaging School (MRI) .The curriculum was comprehensive and well-structured, covering all the essential aspects of medical imaging. I was particularly impressed by the hands-on training opportunities provided, which allowed me to gain practical experience with real world MRI equipments. The faculty members were highly knowledgeable and approachable, always willing to provide guidance and support. The clinical rotations were diverse, offering exposure to various imaging modalities and patient populations. The school's career service department was exceptional, providing assistance with resume building, interview preparation, and job placement. Overall, WCUI Medical Imaging School exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone passionate about pursuing a career in medical imaging. I had a great experience with Professor Douglas Boyd ( MRI program Director) as my instructor. He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the subject. His teaching style is engaging and interactive, which kept me interested and motivated to learn. Professor Doug goes above and beyond to ensure that students understand the material, and he always available for questions. I'm grateful for the knowledge and skills I gained under his guidance. From my own experience, I can confidently recommend WCUI School as a place where you can receive an exceptional education and develop lifelong skills."
