Reviews of Fly Eagle Sport
"I attended other flight schools that I felt were just interested in me as long as my check did not bounce. I moved to the Phoenix area with several hours of training. I met Tyler, he reviewed my previous training, and set me up with what I needed to finish my flight certificates as quickly and cost effectively as possible. Fast forward a few years, and now I am an instructor for Fly Eagle Sport. I strive to show my students the same commitment and expertise I was shown."
"Was looking to time build, searched multiple flight schools around the nation, and chose Fly Eagle after visiting the operations. I am so happy I made this decision. -They have a great rate especially in bulk hours, a significant discount from any other competitor I saw. -Multiple aircraft in the fleet meaning I was able to get the planes for long hours day after day. -The owner, the staff, and the multiple flights instructors I worked with were passionate and one of the friendliest people I met -Flexibility was a theme here and the team worked effectively to make sure I got what I was looking for (I had some complex requirements) -The Light Sport Remos GX aircraft were fun, safe, and very environmental friendly (burns significantly less fuel than traditional cessnas and pipers) -The airport was convenient to fly in and out of, but also able to give pilots good awareness of challenging airspaces in becoming better pilots. -Solid programs for PPL, IR, CPL if that's what you are looking for. -No Multi-Engines at the moment. Overall I had a very accommodating, positive, and productive experience. Highly recommended for time builders, and prospective pilots looking for a license."
"I researched carefully which flight school I wanted to attend- and I felt it was important not to limit the location to be close to where I live. I considered schools located in various parts of the US. One of my parameters also was to try to pick an area which didn’t have extremely high air traffic and multiple Class B airports nearby as I thought that it would be less stressful to learn in a more open air environment and, once I obtain my certificate, and had more hours logged, I could feel more comfortable in those busy parts of the country such as Southern California or near large Cities like Chicago or New York. That could be addressed once I had more experience. Cost was also a high consideration along with the quality of the planes available for training. I also read student reviews carefully as I was able to eliminate several schools which looked good on paper, but did not treat their students fairly regarding rental cancellations, conditions and maintenance of the airplanes, and payment requirements. I also wanted to condense my training to as close to minimum hour requirements as possible (of course depending on my progress and capabilities). During my training, I had my primary instructor who was an incredible teacher, but I also (at his recommendation) flew with several of the other instructors to get a different perspective on my learning). This turned out to be quite important as I picked up useful tips from each of the other instructors who had different approaches to similar issues.I progressed quite quickly, although when I had some difficulty with a particular maneuver, special attention was paid to that until I mastered that issue. The light sport planes they use are fun and easy to learn to fly. And, they have low fuel consumption, so they are able to keep the rental rates extremely reasonable. This can make a difference of thousands of dollars over the course of your training. All of the instructors support each other and the students and work as a team to move you to your private certificate. My instructor signed me off ready for my check ride at six weeks of training (52 hours logged) and I passed my check ride the following week. I also want to thank Dave, the general office manager/maintenance manager for all of his assistance. The entire experience was excellent , and I would not hesitate to highly recommend Fly Eagle Sport in Glendale, Arizona as your flight school."
"This is the place to learn how to fly no matter what stage you're at. I came in with 0 knowledge and just passed my Private Pilot checkride with 50 hours of flight training. They're organized, extremely knowledgeable and they truly want you to succeed. You won't regret trusting Tyler and his group to get you where you need to go. Wesley was my CFI but I flew with most of the staff here and everyone was great. Dave handles the maintenance and he is incredible. You'll never have an issue trusting the airworthiness of any aircraft you fly in. 5/5 without question!"
"Eagle Sport is absolutely the best place to earn your Sport Pilot license and fly Light Sport Aircraft. I obtained my Sport Pilot Instructor add-on license here, and the training is excellent! Very professional. A big advantage is you can fly the very aircraft you train in even after you get your license. Eagle Sport also offers training for your Private, Commercial, Instrument and Instructor licenses too, and has a FAA Certified Flight Simulator for those working on their Instrument license to help keep costs down. Flying is expensive, but Eagle Sport keeps the cost very reasonable, and with excellent instructors keeps the training costs down too. Also, the aircraft are extremely well outfitted and maintained. I highly recommend Eagle Sport, whether to earn your initial license or get advanced certifications, to get current, or just to rent their aircraft and have fun flying in Arizona."
