"I would highly recommend you NOT going to this school. Teachers are pretty nice, but there's a couple who aren't and are quite rude. Along with the security guards, there's some who will unnecessarily touch you, examples are your arm, shoulder, or tapping you with their fingers or objects. The vice principal is on top of issues that are validly something he can deal with. There's a lot of cliques, bullying, theft, harassment, etc from the students. Teachers may be nice but they don't really give you the greatest education. Many teachers mark assignments as missing when you've turned them in on time or when you turn in a late assignment they never grade it. Another thing, is when they never put your grades into the grade-book so you sit with an F or a D for half a quarter or two to half a semester."
"The bus sistum is all messed up, if you want your child waiti g outside for an hour in 36 degrees then be my guest"
"Attendance is a toss up, Student in school marked absent multiple times while in class, School is stressful for a parents who work 14 hours a day, buses are joke - bus #'s are set up to pick up and drop off (same bus) well don't count on that as my kids on holidays have not found the bus they ride and talking to the District they call argue with you (tax money wasted). Grade and homework notification is poor, normally don't know if you child is missing homework until you go onto the site and than it super late. Teachers are hard to reach via phone and email. Contacting the principle or superintendent is non existent. Contacting the front desk is like talking to a wall. Entrance to the High School is dangerous coming from a 45 MPH roadway with a short turn lane. Exit to the busy road is even more dangerous. Overall I give the school a 1 because at least they try to teach and are somewhat successful in that but otherwise it appears every teacher/class is treated as an individual rather than a entity/group. Policies are driven by each class rather than the school so things change radically from class to class. Wish there was a good charter school like my boys had for elementary school."
"Went here all 4 years, pretty good school. Administration sucked and teachers had to take the blame for things they couldn't control. Most of the teachers were amazing though."
"Aka: Trina Nestor/1981 Mrs. Santiago 8th grade homeroom. The greatest teacher's I ever had!! Mr. Rosenbaum 7th grade homeroom. Still residing in Valdosta, GA. 5/2014."
