"This school is great my children love it. My son was attending Valley Vista and doing horrible there. I transferred him to PHHS and immediately picked up his grades. He is now on honor roll and set to graduate on time."
"My daughter is not having a very good experience at this school. Questions asked to her by other students range from are you really “black” and if you’re black then why is your hair straight? Really?! When a teacher rushes through the Pledge of Allegiance not in tune with the promoted voice and tell students that they can sit during the moment of silence is disrespectful to the students that chose to stand in respect of the flag and military family/friends members. The Pledge and moment of silence is less than 30 seconds. If the teacher chooses to browse through their morning emails or staple papers, that can be done another time."
"I went to the school and the staff always censors any students who attempt to have a voice if they wish to change something. Many students are loaded down with homework, and teachers will not understand if the homework wasn't completed due to outside circumstances. Except for a few teachers, many are just there to teach, they do not really care. Many of the upperclassmen treat the lower classmen with disrespect and usually bully them. I would recommend online schooling or homeschooling instead of this school."
"I don't know why so many people are posting reviews about things such as abuse happening at this school, but honestly something like that would never happen. I attended PHHS all four years, and the education was great, and met all my needs. The teachers were personable and I felt adequately prepared for college. The small class sizes were ideal, and I felt that the teachers really did care about my learning. For being a small school, I was impressed with how much variety they offered between dual enrollment classes, Japanese and fencing classes, and AP and honors classes. I would recommend this school to anyone who priorities education."
"I was part of the first graduating class here when the campus was still partly under construction; PHHS was a good experience in my eyes. The smaller class sizes lead to better teacher attention and student interaction. Most teachers I had were very positive and helpful, save for one outlier, but overall, my experience at this school was good."
